I remember when I started work in the Civil Service at 22, and there were these 'older' people approaching their 60s, very set in their ways, and seemingly light years away.......... I am at that age now ...... do the younger element see me in the same light?
Another feeling of being old came with the title 'Great Uncle' !

Thank you for these links, which will be of great use to me. I'm interested in the  1950's and 60's era of Association Football.
Strangely enough, I bought a 'spare copy' of my father's book from a second hand bookstall where I live, for £4, earlier this year! My daughters can have a book each now!  :)

Thanks aghadowey.
I suppose the value of anything finally depends on how much someone is prepared to pay for the item.
Had thought that it might have been due to the fact that Dad's brother, T. Glynne Davies won the Crown in the 1951 Llanrwst National Eisteddfod. Pure conjecture though.
Thanks again
Ken

Thanks for your comments Nanny Jan and CaroleW.
As a family we are delighted at the prices quoted - Dad would have been so proud to have known his work had appreciated so much in these monetary terms.

My father had a paperback book of his poetry published in 1974 - Cerddi Tair Tref (Poems of Three Towns) - Llanrwst, Dolgellau and Llandeilo. It cost 85p. He died in 2002.
I note that Amazon are selling the book at £51. How is the price determined? - can anyone advise me please?  ::)
Thanks

Have found Donald McDonald, 45 of Scotland, a coachman,  living at Ty Refail, Llanfaes in 1901 with his son John, 14, a Pony Boy (domestic).
