FindMyPast has plenty of entries for "Job Wilson, 1811/12". Only one carries a year of birth.

The record identifies arrival year, 1812, age 40, occupation farmer, location North Richmond. The age 40 has been applied to arrival year giving a calculated year of birth 1772. The record was created 1827 or later (another entry on the same page has arrival year as 1827).

Bradford Observer, Thur 10 Sep 1835

"On Saturday, Mr Matthew Wilson, of this town, book-keeper, to Maria Smith, of the same place"

"On Saturday" and date of publication do not add up to 9 Sep but that's the date on FindMyPast (transcripts only).

The only reference I had found to "Ludlow Court" was a 1909 newspaper reference - col 1

Following up Colonel Courtenay Morgan, his address in the newspapers (1895-1903) is given as "Ashford Court", near Ludlow

'Tis a puzzle.

I don't have a sub to findmypast, but there seems to be a mention of a Miss Jesise THATCHER at a funeral in 1942 in the Surrey Mirror (Reigate). 22 May 1942.  :-\ I think the death was George REE.

I'd spotted the 2 birth registrations (1908 Oldham, 1910 Reigate) but for some reason plumped for the Oldham area and discounted Reigate. There was nothing in previously posted info that drew me to Oldham - odd.

Thanks for clarifying.

If your Jessie is the daughter of Robert and Jessie (originally Atkins?), what's the source of the 8 Sep 1910 date of birth (initial post)?

A Jessie May Thatcher's birth was registered Dec Qtr 1908, Oldham, 8d 551 - mother's maiden name Atkins.
The 1911 Census (taken 2 Apr) gives her age as 2 1/2 years - fits a 1908 birth. Her age on the 1921 Census (taken 19 Jun) also fits a 1908 birth.

A Jessie M Thatcher married a Robert Sills, Dec qtr 1934, Liverpool South.

There is a Jessie M Sills, born 7 Sep 1908, husband Robert, at Southport on the 1939 Register. Southport links to the 1921 Census.

To date, only spotted a Colonel Courtenay Morgan at Ludlow Court - but the County is  Herefordshire.
