Could some kind soul help me find two brith regs. before I go mad !
Walter Beresteyn c 1887 and Florence Beresteyn c 1889. I have tried freeBMD and LancsBMD with every combination of spelling. I found brother Charles Beresteyn 1880 no problem.
Should have said both born in Manchester. I have them on 1891 and 1901 living with Mother Elizabeth. I have a medal card for Walter with his name spelt as above.
Any help appreciated

Could someone please explain the numbers and letters on this medal card, I haven't a clue what they mean. Also why would it mention disposal of medals ?

The Common Room / Which Line ?

Having done a lot of research on Gt. Grandad only to find his Mother didn't marry until he was 6 months old and I don't think he was his father, he didn't use his name till much much later, I was wondering which line other folk follow ? I now have another case where the Mother didn't marry until the child was 2 years old though he took his name straight away and the husband was only 18 when he married so if he fathered the child at 16 it might explain the delay !
Just interested to see which line other people follow in a case of " who's the Daddy ! "
