Cumberland / Braken Bank Estate

I am seeking information, location and map, together with anything else about the Braken Bank Estate which I believe was owned by Thomas Hall (1773 -1850) having purchsed it circa 1810.  Any information very much appreciated.

Clearly I am inadequate.  John Dolan married Elizabeth Lord on 12thJune 1897 in Corpus Christi Church, Miles Platting, Manchester.  John Dolan's father is stated as John Dolan waterman for the Corporation.  After their marriage they lived at 22 Jervis Street, North Manchester where they had their first child, John in 1898.  They had a second child, Elizabeth born on 10 September 1904.  John died about May 1905 at the age of 20 (I do not have the Certificate but the family does) and the 1911 census confirms that he has died as Elizabeth stated as a widow, his wife, along with their two children, John and Elizabeth, are residing with her brother, Abraham Lord, at 14 Cobden Street, Ancoats, Manchester.  I am trying to trace JOHN DOLAN Senior, waterman for the Corporation but this is the only information I have.
I have checked the certificate of birth for a John Dolan Junior for the 10th August 1875 but this is the wrong one as his father is listed as Denis Dolan and the only other one is in 1878 which does not tie in.  I cannot find another birth for the same period nor can I find either of the John Dolans' on the 1881or 1891 cesus..  I do not have any other information.  I hope you will still help.

Sadly he John died abvout May 1905 so he is not on the 1911 census.
The witnesses at his marriage to Elizabeth were Charles Atkinson and Esther Burton.  The marriage was a Roman Catholic marriage.

Thanks for your prompt reponses.  The 1875 birth has the father as Dennis Dolan whereas his marriage certificate has the father as John.  Alrthough the 1901 census after he is married says he was born in Manchester I cannot find any of the family on any census for either 1881 or 1891.  I will order the certificate for the later birth and see where I go.  If the information on the census for the two marriages suggested is correct they are the wrong ones.  Ah well, back to the drawing board.

I am seeking information on the ancestors of John Dolan.  According to the 1901 census he was born in Manchester cica 1876.  He married Elizabeth Lord on 12 June 1897 in Corpus Christie Church, Newton Heath, Manchester.  His Father's name on the marriege certificate is John Dolan a waterman for the Corporation.  I have failed to find a birth registration with the father stated as John.  I have a feeling John senior may have been born in Ireland but as yet I have not found any information on that nor the name of his wife.  I have run out of ideas so any help would be very graciously received.

Cumberland / Alexander Thompson

I am seeking information regarding Alexander Thompson and his ancestors.  Alexander married Mary prior to 1787 when his first child Hanah was born in Lazonby, Cumberland.  Regretfully I do not have any more information.  I realise this may be a long shot but any help much appreciated.
