Folks, that is GREAT!!!      Your suggestions for fixing it worked a treat.      A bad day has turned good.       Thanks a million.       By the way, I am on Windows 10. using Firedox.     Couldn't have sorted this without your help.        :D

Technical Help / Scanned item won't delete from screen
« on: Saturday 24 December 22 07:50 GMT (UK)  »
I scanned an image yesterday, and this morning that image is on my main opening screen, superimposed on top of the short-cut icons.     I can still use the short cut icons to get into all my sites but just can't seem to shift the image, which covers about a quarter of the screen and partly obscures the short cut icons.      I tried refreshing Firefox - no luck.       I tried a Clean Up of the computer using Wise Tech - no luck.      Can't figure out why this is happening.      How do I sort this?

In the index of my map-book of Glasgow, there is Todhills, G75, East Kilbride (off Todhills North).   And also Todhills South, G75, East Kilbride.

Technical Help / Re: Email from Amazon ???
« on: Friday 02 December 22 11:10 GMT (UK)  »
I tried your suggestions and it reads amazon-offers@amazon.co.uk      ...It is gives a few words of the message - something to do with Outlook, which is something I don't use.

Never knew you could find out who was sending a message.      It is a good thing to know about.       So I take it I'm okay to open it, as it says amazon-offers@amazon.co.uk

Technical Help / Email from Amazon ???
« on: Friday 02 December 22 07:26 GMT (UK)  »
I received an email from Amazon.co.uk headed Look out for online scammers.      Has anyone else received this?     Is it genuine or is this itself a scam?       The scammers are trying to fool us all the time, and I am reluctant to even open it.       Yet if I just delete it, it may be a useful bit of information.
In two minds about this.       When I brought up my incoming Emails page this morning, it was there, having been sent to me at 12.03.      In other words midnight.

Technical Help / Re: Forbidden

I am 79 years old and I am not a computer wizard.       I often wish I was, because if you are not then a computer problem can drive you nuts.      It is a good job I live alone, because the air turns blue when the computer has some hidden, hard to find problem.

However, I just wondered if changing your browser to Firefox might just work.    Feel sorry for you in such a tricky situation.    Does anyone agree with this suggestion or might it even make things worse?

Was his mother's name Connell?        There is a death for a James Clark, a Ship-Master, at Ayr - but he was married to Eliza Mitchell.      His place of residence at death was Gleniffer Place, Ayr.
