Just jumping in before heading out.
Ruskie; No covid in New Zealand. We do have a border case though. A fully vaccinated Aeroplane cleaner. All contacts are so far negative. As it is a border case no change to the travel bubble.
Looks like those in the Uk able to spread their wings a bit more. Enjoy your newfound freedom.
Must go.
Stay safe

Here in NZ, I was watching UKTV BBC through Sky. As this was an old repeat of Midsummer Murders I took no notice of the message running across the screen. The message read; The Palace has released an important message. For full details go to BBC World News or
Now was this an old message or a new one? Every fifteen minutes it was repeating. So at Midnight NZ time, I went online to find out what it was about. (this was 1.00pm UK time ).

So sad to lose a fine upstanding gentleman who stood by his wife's side for over 70 years.
Rest in Peace Prince Phillip. Your job is now done.

Good to see you are slowly moving out of your lockdown and spring is trying to arrive. Great to read some are even starting to meet up with family members. I only had one lockdown but even coming out of that it has taken a while for me to move back to normal. I do my shopping at quiet times and find myself leaving events if the crowd starts getting too big.
Put clocks back an hour early Sunday morning. Body clock trying to reset as well.
Big news for Australia and New Zealand. Our travel bubble is all set to go at 11.59pm on April 18th. Flights between the two are filling up fast.
Take care

I was going to post the same as brigidmac.
A few days ago, here in New Zealand, they were playing repeats of Long Lost Family. They did a program on the Unknown Soldier.
They found remains, took DNA and traced family if they could. Reburied in CWGC cemeteries with full honours and family.
I am sure you could find the program on Youtube?
This appears to be an ongoing project.
not a techie person so can not put uplink. Only been on youtube once by mistake.

Just popping in to say Hi.
Not much happening down here.
No Covid apart from all those at the border. When flying to NZ you can not get on the plane unless you have tested negative 72 hours before boarding and show your certificate. Well, yesterday we had 10 cases test positive on day 0/1. Something is not right but the government can sort that out.
Waiting for my flu jab and then sometime in May my Covid jabs.
Our clocks change this weekend. I remember it by saying Spring forward, Fall back. So we are in the Fall or Autumn so our clocks go back. I never change my car clock as I never use it to see what the time is. I know it will be an hour out till spring.
Ruskie; Hope your lockdown is only 3 Days. I too am surprised by the number of places some people seem to go in a few days.
Hoping you are all enjoying a bit more freedom.
Stay safe

Level 1 in NZ means Freedom.
Rules for level 1
Wear a mask on public transport and all aeroplanes
Stay home if unwell and get tested
Scan using the covid app and turn on Bluetooth tracing. Keep track of where you have been.
My extra one is sanitize but I guess everyone should know that.
There is a travel Bubble between Aus and Nz but only one way. We can go to Aus and not need to quarantine but coming here it is still 2 wks in a hotel.
MH maybe 2022 before we are totally free to open the borders.

Congratulations on your appiontment for your vaccine Roobarb.
Auckland has just dropped to Level 1, so the whole country is now at level 1.
My tentative month for my vaccine is May not because of my age but because of health.
After a few days of rain another muggy day here.
