Hi,
Im trying to find out anything of a Robert Holt from the Charters Towers & Townsville are of North Queensland.

Robert Holt married Rose Young in 1904 probably at Charters Towers,  Rose had been previously married to Adam Edward Young who died in 1902 at Charters Towers.

Rose had married Adam in 1895 as Rose MEIER she was born in 1877 as Rosena Meyer in Queensland ( F Conrad M Catherine).

I believe that Rose Holt died in 1947 in Townsville 1947/C1275 ( F Conrad Meyer M Catherine).

A 1910 & 1913 Electoral Roll has Rose & Robert Holt in Charters Towers, 1922 Robert (solo) at Kuridala as a miner and Rose and Robert (Jnr) Holt at Camp Rd Mundingburra.

There is another Robert Holt and I thought this may have been his father, hence the term Jnr for his son.!

I have purchased no certificates as yet but I will get the marriage one.

In the mean time any assistance regarding Robert Holt would be appreciated.

My GGF was Adam Edward Young who died in charters Towers Queensland in 1902 and from his death Registration I had that Adam's parents were Adam Edward Young and mother Kate Hayes and I thought that he must have came out from the UK for the North Queensland gold rush but an astute Rootschatter found that he was actually born in the Colony of Victoria in 1864 with his parents coming out as single persons for the Victorian gold rush then marrying in Victoria in 1862.

His parents being Catherine Hayes and Adam Young

I purchased a copy of the marriage certificate for Catherine Hayes  and Adam Young to get any important research information that I could and now I would like to find out more about Adam Young and Catherine Hayes starting off with Adam.

What I know

The 1862 marriage certificate states that Adam's Young was 30 and born in Berwickshire Scotland and his mother was Elizabeth Currie and father John Young.  Catherine Hayes was 21, born in County Limerick Ireland and her parents were John Hayes and Elizabeth Quinley.

I would appreciate any information on on Adam Young (Adam edward Young) and his family.  Adam was born in Berwickshire Scotland around 1832 whose parents were John Young and Elizabeth Currie.

I'm looking for assistance with a BDM in victoria around the 1860s

Johann Rottger married a Mary McNally sometime in the early1860s.
Mary died around 1865 I think in Victoria.
I belive there may have been 2 children being born as well with one dying before Johann's second marriage to Christine Kasch in 1866.

I have Johann's death at Belligen in NSW ok but I'm looling for any details on the marriage to Mary McNally, births of the children and deaths of one child and Mary.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

I'm reseaching the family of John and Margaret Ross (nee McDonald) from Kilmuir.

I believe that John & Margaret  ross had the following children

Ronald Ross born abt 1809 farmed at Kendram and married firstly Dorcas McKinnon then Ann McLeod.

Alexander Ross born abt 1811 migrated to NSW on the Ontario in 1852 with wife F;ora and children and died on the voyage.

Donald Ross born abt 1816 in Kilmuir probably stayed on Skye.

Hugh Ross born abt 1821 in Kilmuir probably stayed on Skye

Flora Ross born abt 1832 in Kilmuir probably stayed on Skye

Christy Ross born abt 1824 in Kilmuir probably stayed on skye.

John Ross born abt 1826 married Flora Nicholson 1853 then migrated to Victoria Australia on the New Zealander in 1853

Katherine Ross born about 1831 migrated with John Ross and his wife to Victoria in 1853.

I'm at a brick wall with any information on Donald, Hugh, Flora and Christy Ross.

They probably resided, farmed and married in Kilmuir around Duntulm, Balmaqueen or Kendram.

Any assistance about Donald, Hugh, Flora and Christy would be appreciated.
