Lincolnshire / 'Pickup' suname help
« on: Tuesday 18 February 20 11:27 GMT (UK)  »
Hi all
Im looking for info on a John W Pickup and Sarah Pickup (Emerson) in the 1939 register. They married in 1925 in Gainsborough Lincolnshire, and they had a daughter called Vera Pickup also in 1925 in Gainsborough but I cant find any of them in 1939. Chances are that Vera's record is still closed as she only died in 2013 but her parents are a mystery, can I have another pair of eyes to find the parents please.
Thanks in advance.

Norfolk / Help i cant find James Rogers in 1901 or 1911?
« on: Saturday 30 November 19 19:33 GMT (UK)  »
Hi all, I am looking for the above person on either of these 2 census.
He married a Mary Ann Knowles (maiden name Wilkinson) in 1900 in Yarmouth in Norfolk but he isn't on either the 1901 census or 1911 census with Mary or any of her children. James and Mary had their first child Lilly May Rogers in 1901 in Gorleston Norfolk and their second Ernest in 1903 but still no sign of their father James Rogers. I have no idea when he was born or even if it was in Norfolk. Mary is still down as married in 1911 so James must be about somewhere, any help greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

Nottinghamshire / I cant find John George Hewitt in 1881 please help
« on: Friday 08 November 19 20:01 GMT (UK)  »
Hi all
I am looking for a John George Hewitt born in 1875 in Misterton Notts. His parents were George Hewitt 1843-1922 and Louisa Hewitt 1845-1927. I have found his parents on a canal boat in Newbold but no sign of any of their children with them. They had 10 children altogether, 7 before the 1881 census, their oldest child, Charlotte Hewitt age 12 in 1881, born 1868,  is home alone with 2 of her younger siblings, Mary and Robert Hewitt. Can I have another pair of eyes please to try and locate John George Hewitt aged 5 in 1881. Thankyou in advance

Hi all
I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the above place please. I have found an Edwin Wolverson aged 18 in the reformatory in 1891, does anyone know if there are admission records available at all. I have posted on an older thread but the last reply was 2 years ago so I thought I would start a knew one. Edwin was born in Willenhall Staffordshire in 1872, I would love to know what his crime was, thank you in advance.

Yorkshire (West Riding) / Please help find missing person.
« on: Thursday 19 September 19 21:38 BST (UK)  »
Hi all
I am looking for information on a Fred Bennett. I know he was married in 1946 to Leonora Alberta Jessop in Barnsley, I have found his death in May 2003 which corresponds to the same date as I have found on deceased on line, (they are both buried together). The problem I have is his death registration on Ancestry says his birth date is 21 April 1923 but I cant find neither a birth reg for him with that date or on the 1939 register. Can another pair of eyes please try and trace this guy as I feel like I am going round in circles.
Thank you all in advance.

Nottinghamshire / Stanley Beal Hempstock birth??
« on: Tuesday 09 July 19 11:18 BST (UK)  »
Hi all
I have a Stanley Beal written as  'adopted son' age 7 on the 1911 census, born in Worksop Notts living with a William Hempstock and his wife Annie Hempstock. On the 1939 record Stanley is written down as Stanley B Hempstock and his dob given as 4 November 1902, but I cannot find a birth registration for him. Also if he was 7 in 1911 surely his year of birth would be 1904.Could another pair of eyes please see if they can find anything as I am losing the will to live with this guy. Thanks in advance.
