I have a Samuel Ellis born June quarter 1928 in Newark on Trent to Joseph Ellis and Elizabeth Bainbridge. Samuel was married to a Frances Drewery in 1853 Caistor Lincs, he died 17 Sept 1904 at Baltic house, Bargates, Grimsby. During his life he was a timber merchant and a great philanthropist, laying foundation stones and provided the money to build the Weelsby Alms houses that still stand in Grimsby today. His children Drewery and Joseph also laid them. My question is would there be any pictures anywhere of Samuel Ellis or his sons as they seem to be quite high profile in the years they were doing this. They where also involved in alot of building work, providing the money and organising trusts. Is there any place i can contact that may help, its a long shot i know but worth an ask on here.

Im looking for any information on the above person please, especially his parents if possible. He was born (according to the UK register) 9 June 1916 and married a Dora Jones in 1939. I have found them in 1939 in Eccles but it isnt very clear. ~Can anyone make out what is crossed out on Dora's name and replaced by Critchley Horrocks. The name changed from Critchley Horrocks some time in the 70/80s to Hamilton (no idea why). Also there is a date written at the side, 23/10/1974 and again i have no idea why. I have attached picture to show.

Would anyone be able to help me please locating the above lady. Her name was Annie Smith and she would be born around 1902 but i dont know where. She married in 1926 to Thomas William Bowman, she was 24 he was 21, in Lambeth London, her father was named on the marriage certificate as Benjamin Smith, occupation cab proprietor, deceased, but i cant find any info on her father either. Annie died in 1931 in Dulwich London of TB. I would love to know if she had any siblings and what her parents (mother) was called. Any help would be fantastic, thankyou in advance.

I am looking for a William Thorpe born about 1860 in Leeds. He married a Mary Jane ? sometime before 1891 as William is on the 1891 census age 29 with his wife Mary Jane age 26 and a son Edgar Thorpe who was 3, William is listed as a Cloth Milner, all living in Armley Leeds. They had another son Albert Thorpe in 1895. I have William aged 40 with Mary Jane but no children in 1901 living in Armley. In 1911 i have William aged 50, Mary Jane aged 49, Edgar aged 23 and Albert aged 16 living in Normanton Yorkshire. It also says they had 6 children, 4 who had died and 2 living which would be  Edgar and Albert. I cant find any more info on Edgar Thorpe after 1911. I need help finding what Mary Janes surname was before marriage and where was William Thorpe in the 1871 and 1881 census when he was a child. Any help great fully received.

Im trying to find a William Gibson born 1852 in Hareby Lincolnshire, he married Elizabeth Roberts (Betsy) in 1873 in Wragby Lincolnshire, and Williams father is down as George Gibson on the marriage transcription, William and Betsy had 5 children William 1876, Rose 1877, Sarah 1879, George 1886 and John Henry in 1893. All i know about the family is that in 1895 Sarah Gibson, the daughter, at aged 16 murdered her little brother John Henry Gibson, then aged 2. Sarah was sent to Broadmore and the trail runs cold on her. What i am looking for is the death of William Gibson the father and also any sign of him before he married Betsy in 1873, so either the 1871 or 1861 census with his family.
Any help would be very much appreciated as i cant find anything. thankyou in advance.
