Thanks!
I'm not sure what size the flash drive is either!
Sounds simple enough! I'll give it a go tomorrow when my Dad's around.
Thanks again. You've saved me hours of typing!

Hi,
I have Family Tree Maker version 3.02 for windows on my computer. I've been using it for years and have loads of information on it. My Dad has just got Family Tree maker 12th edition on his computer and wants me to input all the information from mine onto his. How do I do that without having to sit and print all mine off, then type it all out onto his? It'd take me hours! I thought i could save it onto floppy, but my Dad's new computer doesn't have a floppy drive, and my computer is so old that it doesn't have the facility to save it onto c.d! I do have one of those flash key things (not its technical name, obviously!) that you plug into the usb port. Would i be able to save it onto that, then transfer it over to my Dad's?
I'm not a very technical person, so any help would be great!
Thanks,
Jacdee

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / Re: 1891 HAWTHORN

Hi,
Yes i did eventually find them! Annie and the children were living in willesden (had been transcribed under the wrong surname!) and Samuel was living in Marylebone with his 'wife' Georgina! It was interesting to discover he had a double life! He was still with Georgina in 1901 so that explains why i couldn't find a death record for him!

Kent Completed Lookup Requests / 1841 Hicks
« on: Saturday 10 December 05 15:39 GMT (UK)  »
Hi
I'm hoping someone might be able to help me find this family in 1841. I've had lots of help from Tati in finding Ebenezer from 1851-1901, and would love to get him and his family in 1841!
This is what i have in 1851-

William Hicks 48 b.Taunton
Elizabeth Hicks 32 b.Taunton
Josiah Hicks 20 b.Taunton
Edith 17 b.Taunton
Eliezer (ebenezer) 12 b.Taunton
Betsey 11 b.Taunton
Mary Ann 3 b.Taunton
Edward 1 b.Taunton
They were living in Queen street, Taunton.

They all claim to be born in Taunton, but they weren't! Many were actually born in Kent, possibly Tunbridge Wells. (which is why i've posted on the kent page!)
I know that William has at least two other sons- William b.1826 and Alfred b.1828, also born in Kent. I believe Elizabeth to be William's second wife (due to the fact that she's only 12 years older than Josiah), so probably won't be on the 1841 census. This is one of the reasons i would love to find this family - to discover the identity of the first wife!

I don't know how easy/hard it is to search the 1841 census, so i apologise if it is too big a task. And i hope i've given enough information.

Thanks alot for any help,
Jacdee

Wow! So it looks like Eliezer was actually Ebenezer! I hadn't thought of that as a name!! D'oh!
Do you have access to the censuses that he appears on? If you have, would you be able to tell me the info.
Thank you so much for helping me with this! What a jem you are!
