I've tried every combination of parameters that I can think of on FindMyPast, but I still can't find a marriage ca 1795 between Roger HURST/HAYHURST/HEYHURST and Agatha/Agnes XXXX. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you.

There can be no doubt that these records all refer to the same people/events which, I think, answers my original question. To get further back, I'm going to have to research Hurst/Hayhurst/Heyhurst.

Concerning Agatha/Agnes, you tell me that the image of William's baptismal record shows his mother's name as Agatha. Surely, then, Agnes must be a mistake?

The baptismal record I have, from FindMyPast, has Roger's son named as William Summer HURST, which fits with  Rosie's post, but what is he image on FindMyPast?
This all started with Thomas HURST, whose birth was recorded in Q3, 1839. His parents were William HURST & Margery WALSH.
My search for the parents of William HURST brought me to Roger & Agatha HURST - never a mention of anyone called HAYHURST, so where did that surname suddenly appear from? Are you sure that's the name I should be looking at?

William HURST was baptized 03 Jul 1795 in Ormskirk, parents Roger & Agatha. I cannot find a marriage for Roger and Agatha. Can anyone help, please?

Although it appears that there are no records of the baptisms of about a dozen members of the DREW and HILL families in the Bromyard area, I'm happy that the Wills of Agatha and Joseph provide the answers to my original query. I shall, therefore, mark this topic 'completed' in the next day or so.

My sincere thanks to all of you who have taken the effort to help me get Anne's roots sorted, and I hope that I haven't wasted too much of your time.

Thank you.

Agatha left a bequest to her daughter, Anne (wife of John DREW) and also bequests to Anne's children, only one of whom seems to have been baptized:-

13 May 1688  John son of John & Anne DREW  in Bromyard

I can find no record of the baptisms of Edward and Thomas

All of these are mentioned in Agatha's will so were born before 1710.

I don't know. All I can say is that there are no obvious gaps in the records I'm searching. However, there are more 'missing' HILL baptisms:-

Richard
Mary
Agatha
Joseph
Thomas

alll of whom are mentioned in Agatha's will, so were born before 1710.

I take your point but, in this instance, the relevant PR's for the period all appear to be complete, which would make it one heck of a coincidence if only the 'HILL' entries are missing. We now have 4 missing baptisms spread over 2 generations, so it isn't as if a 'block'  has vanished.
