Antrim / Ahoghill, Antrim, the McMasters
« on: Monday 11 July 11 16:40 BST (UK)  »
Has anyone any information on the McMasters of Ahoghill?  I know they were around from about 1800, I wonder does anyone know of McMasters living around there today?

Any photos of Ahoghill past and/or present would be lovely, I know they were connected to the church there, it would have been a Protestant Church.

Thanks, Kathy

Antrim / Little James Walkington, aged 3 years
« on: Monday 30 May 11 20:17 BST (UK)  »
I am researching the McKernons who lived in Aghadowey in Antrim in 1851.  Among the family was a little guy James Wallington, aged 3, grandson, presumably the Child of Margret McKernon, unmarried daughter of Rosey McKernon, widow.

Does anyone have information of there being an army barracks or Mill in this vicinity, or big house perhaps, where the name Wallington could have come from?

Thanks, Kathy

Antrim / Parish Records, 1851 Census, not getting anywhere
« on: Thursday 17 February 11 13:51 GMT (UK)  »
I am still fighting with the challenge of finding any hint or hair of Sarah Quirey or her husband, Thomas McMaster.  I know they were married in 1870 in Belfast, and he turns up in both 1901 and 1911 Census.  He states in the Census that he was born in Co Antrim abt 1847, but where, I do not know.  I cannot find a note of Sarah's birth or where she might have been born.

Agdahowey has kindly helped me on this already, but I would like to throw it out one more time to see if any of you can help me, I am sure someone with more experience of the Irish record system could work wonders.

Thank you, Kathy
