US Lookup Requests / 1920 and 1930 US Census Look up
« on: Saturday 07 November 09 10:19 GMT (UK)  »
Hi

Would someone be so kind as to look up Margaret Salkind living in Morris, New Jersey in 1920 and 1930. She was born in Ireland in about 1851. I am interested to see if her husband David is still alive (I know Margaret was still alive in 1930).

Thank you very much
Tara

US Lookup Requests / U.S. Census lookup for Obedience
« on: Sunday 16 August 09 08:31 BST (UK)  »

Hi,

I'm looking for an 'Obedience' born about 1811 in Hertfordshire, England. Maiden name is Gault, married in 1836 to John Lawerence. I cannot find her anywhere in England and hoping someone could have a look at the U.S Census's to see if she is on there. There is an Obedience Young on 1920 census of about the right age - could someone please see what her place of birth is?

thank you very much

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Deciper "A Scitch of Lands" - COMPLETED
« on: Sunday 09 August 09 08:33 BST (UK)  »
Hi

I have attached a 1 half of a copy of "A Scitch of Lands" which belongs to Wm Gault. I understand the 5 sections of land detailed on the left match up with dark sections on the right. What i don't know is what the numbers in the columns mean? what is A, R and P? I'm guessing it has something to do with size or value...

Thank you very much
Tara

p.s. what is 'scitch'?

« on: Thursday 22 February 07 22:48 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,

I'm not sure if you can help me as i do not have a death date, but I'm looking for Hannah Brooks (nee Pettinger). In 1851 she was living at 25 Dock St, Sculcoates, Kingston upon Hull, the house was still in the family in 1861 but Hannah was no longer there, so just wondering if you might have a record of her.

thanks
