Wexford / Re: Finn/Doran families from Craanford, Gorey Wexford

Hi. I have a copy of a book containing details of the inscriptions on the headstones in each of the cemeteries in the Craanford parish (which includes the Monaseed area). Wont be able to access it until midweek but will check then. My great great grandfather was a Denis Finn born in Monbay c1800. Culbaire

Thanks very much to you all Japeflakes, Trishanne, McGroger, Kerrill and Eggy. As Eggy says excellent work from everyone. Much appreciated.  Lovely expressions on their faces once the marks were cleaned off. Thanks everyone. Culbaire

Hi. Would appreciate if some of the talented people here could clean, tidy up and sharpen Granny Darcy and her parents.
Thanks. Culbaire

Note that all the holdings you are asking about mention land only. (Neither is there any valuation given to buildings contained on the land). The small piece of ground in other person's holding is only 8 perches ie just over 200 square metres (ie 10m x 20m). In Clonmellon Chartres land would seem to be landlocked. Could the 8 perches have been part of a right of way? No idea of why the small area in Kilrush lower. Note that the surname is given in Clonmellon as Chartres, in Kilrush it is Charters.

Apologies for posting information without giving the source.
The graveyard is Rathaspeck. Information located in Cantwell’s ‘Memorials of the Dead’. Part of the inscription reads that Richard Carty was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Society.
