Australia / Anyone know of Rose GRANT-BALDWIN-BRYANT?

I have a newly discovered cousin whose mother Ruby born 1921 was fostered by Rose GRANT/BALDWIN/BRYANT (she's referred to as Rose Grant or Rose Bryant variously) when a toddler (some time after June 1922) and formally adopted by Rose Grant/Baldwin/Bryant when Ruby was 16 in 1936. These people (except cousin) are now all dead.
Rose Grant always apparently told Ruby that she was related to Ruby’s mother but we have not been able to find out how as none of the names we have found, associated with Rose, are in our family tree of knowledge. Ruby’s mother was my aunt Theckla Anne (usually known as Annie) Montgomery.

Parents Marriage 1575/1879 Thomas Roland GRANT to Emily WATSON at Glebe
[Emily Grant’s funeral 30 November 1931 – SMH notices that day with name Emily – NSW BDM reg. found : 16511/1931 GRANT, Amelia, parents Thomas and Ann, reg’d Annandale is surely her, as funeral notice says funeral from Annandale church, and Rose’s mother’s name given as Amelia on index re Rose’s death]
Rose was their second child, born at Glebe [Sydney], regn. 5852/1882
Rose Married (1) 4717/1904 to William BALDWIN at Petersham, Police Constable who died 6 October 1911, at Camperdown, self-inflicted gunshot through heart, d. reg 15668/1911 , Newtown, parents Samuel C & Margaret
(newspaper reports via TROVE – Adelaide Advertiser 7 Oct.1911 and SMH 9 Oct.1911)
They had three children:
b. 14153/1905 Emily M at Leichhardt, m. 983/1930 to George J MAPLES, at Annandale
b. 35572/1906 Rose at Leichhardt, m. 5347/1932 to William D. HANNAN at Annandale
b. 2389/1909 Stanley at Camperdown, d. 12349/1938 at Newtown
Rose Married (2) 1692/1914 to Alfred H. BRYANT at Petersham
d. Alfred H Bryant - 22074/1960 at Marrickville, aged 67, died 26/8/60 -
Rose d. 31324/1960 at Marrickville, mother’s name given as Amelia Watson
Ruby lived with the Bryants in a house in Taylor Street, Annandale in Sydney which had a caveat placed on it from 1922-1936, which is supposedly connected somehow with Ruby but she never found out how/why. How does one go about finding out details of a caveat on real property? Does anyone know?
Any suggestions / knowledge appreciated
