hi, im trying to put a death cert here but it says file is too large.  I dont know how to make it smaller.

Or to make it Fit for Any Forum :-
Google = search for -
- click Upload
- click Do not resize
- select from drop down  menu - 640 X 480 for Message Boards
- click - Choose Image
- click - File
- Find -select your Photo
- click - Hotlink for Forums
- click - Copy
- Then in your Post Message in Rootchat Topic
- Paste the Copied Postimage

As Gadget says, so much easier to snip the relevant section of the image, and use Irfanview (if necessary) to reduce the image below 500 Kb - allows all the RootsChatters to see the attached image, increase the size and supply comments.

Just looking at this old thread and came across this statement-

Their landlord was William Gore, from whom they rented lands in Aughlinavallen, Carricknaheegan, and Clinabothin.
(These could be misspelt  Aughawillan  and Carrickmackeegan …)

Maybe these are the townlands that are being mentioned-

Carrickmakeegan townland

Aghawillin townland
