Dear Geoff
Many thanks. I had wondered if Elizabeth Turner was the mother but I did not realise how close the place was to Killingholme
Sandra
PS any ideas on the birth of George Gibbon?!

Lincolnshire Lookup Requests / Gibbon of Killingholme c1804-16
« on: Monday 06 June 05 11:21 BST (UK)  »
Hello
I am related to the Gibbins who have lived in Hull since c1830
I have searched on the LDS and have come across 4 sons and daughters who were christened in Killingholme: Mary 9 April 1804. Jane 20 Nov 1806, George 29 April 1813 and John 7 Sept 1816.
Please does anyone have access to the Parish registers to tell me who their parents were?

Yorkshire (North Riding) Lookup Requests / Re: Parish register Rosedale
« on: Saturday 04 June 05 18:51 BST (UK)  »
Dear Geoff
Yes .Thankyou for the idea. I used it a  while ago and there are quite a few missing off it now. I have cross-checked the Rosedale Lastingham Middleton and KirbyMoorside births and the Lastingham birth of John Dobson 1794 is the most likely, son of James Dobson and Rosannah Abbot. I need to see the parish registers to check if there are any more in Rosedale that may have been missed out by the LDS. Thanks for your help anyway.

Yorkshire (North Riding) Lookup Requests / Parish register Rosedale

Hello
I am trying to find out who the parents were of John Dobson born either late 1794 or early 1795. In the Westerdale 1841/1851 census he is down as being born in Rosedale. I have found one son of James Dobson and Rosannah Abbot born at Lastingham and one born at Gillamoor Kirbymoorside. i would really appreciate someone checking for me on the Rosedale Parish
Thank you

Derry (Londonderry) / Crawford/Lindsay family
« on: Sunday 29 May 05 09:48 BST (UK)  »
I am searching the family of William Crawford and Rachael Lindsay who married c1880 in County Derry. They had a daughter Margaret Lindsay Crawford born 1886 and birth registered at Bellerena, Limavady. William was a farmer and his address was Lisnagrib, Aghanloo. I do not know anything else about William and Rachael, but they were possibly/probably Presbyterian as Margaret married Abraham Wharton in a Presbyterian Church in Coleraine in 1916.
I would be grateful if anyone can throw any light on the Crawford/Lindsay families. I realise that they are very popular names but I live in hope!
Best wishes to all you family researchers

Antrim / Re: Hanna in Belfast 1901
« on: Wednesday 25 May 05 19:53 BST (UK)  »
Dear Steve
Thank you for your swift reply. I don't think they are the ones I am looking for as Thomas George and Martha had 7 children and none of them were called Annie. Plus son Thomas George, my husband's father came over to England where he died in the early 60s
But thankyou for the idea anyway

Antrim / Hanna in Belfast 1901
« on: Tuesday 24 May 05 19:29 BST (UK)  »
I  am searching my husband's family. His father was born in the Shankill Ward Belfast 1900. If anyone has access to the 1901 census please would you look up the Thomas Hanna family Springvale Cottages. I have no idea where Thomas's mother Martha Finney and father Thomas George Hanna were born or when.
Much appreciated
Sandra
