Denbighshire / Death of William Jones Llanfair d c 1891-1901-*COMPLETE*
« on: Monday 18 July 11 10:20 BST (UK)  »
Can anyone help me identify the year of death and, importantly, the age at death, of William Jones, resident at Tynyffynnon or possibly Maes y Ffynnon in 1891 whose widow Anne is at the latter address in 1901.He was born in the Bryneglwys area approx. 1836-1840 and I am trying to get a better fix on his birth. This data might help verify the various estimates from other census data.

Denbighshire / William Jones,Penybanciau,Bryneglwys *COMPLETE*

Can anyone help with the prior history/lineage of  William Jones living at Penybanciau,Bryneglwys in 1871.I am sure his father was also a William Jones
but with the 1861 census missing from this area, tracing is proving difficult-there are also similar property names in the area such as Penyboncyn which can be confusing.I am fairly sure his wife was Ann Lloyd from Yspytty Ifan, and I have,I hope, some idea of her history, but the Bryneglwys Jones's are eluding me.I will probably pay a visit to the Denbighshire Record Office to look at the Parish Registers soon.

I am looking for any connection with (1st Battalion) Royal Welsh Fusiliers and residents of Garden Walk Ashton on Ribble.Name, rank, number and address if possible please.I have so far failed in my quest for a family connection with Montrose Villa(no.67) in 1918 and am now looking for other associations.

Can anyone help me find who was living at Montrose Villa,Garden Walk,Preston in March 1918,when my father( a Jones!),was born there.
We have absolutely no known association with the area, with his side of the family apparently exclusively from North Wales.
My investigations so far have shown that a W.G.Makinson certainly lived there in the 1890s,and possibly his son Ernest later, but the precise number identity of the house, probably 47or 67 remains unresolved(Ernest's record is transcribed as 67 but is clearly 47 on the document and W.G. spent time at both houses apparently!)
The data does ,of course, finish with the 1911 census, tantalisingly short.
Can anyone help?
