What name did he give for his father on his marriage to your grandma & what was her full name including maiden name, & date/place of marriage?

What was his age, address & occupation on marriage?

Annie

On the marriage certificate F A Avery father is stated as Thomas Avery but i can not trace him either.
I do not know his occupation at the time of marriage but i would assume he was an engineer as that was the main work in Rugby at that time.

Grandma name was
Catherine Lucy Reeve born 13 Sep 18983 in Leicester, Leicestershire, England
Lived in Rugby from about 1900
And died She died on 08 Dec 19485 in Carlisle, Cumberland, England.
Marriage was in 21st Febuary 1920 at St Andrews Parish Church

Hope that helps
Thank you again
Tim
First rule  of  modern life  is  "Never assume anything"
Many people  who lived in Rugby  did  work in one of the big  companies in the town,  at that time   BTH,  English Electric,   or Lodge Spark Plugs(I think it was from memory)     many people travelled to Coventry for work "on the tracks"

I was born in 1949,   so I believe I would have an Identity card and a Ration Book,     But I was living at a different  address  than either my mother or father had once lived in in 1939,  before  they were married.

I wonder  how many errors  had  crept in to the register  by 1991.  Transcription errors  to name just one category.
