Roxburghshire / Where is Margaret Cunningham

I am trying to find a Margaret Cunningham and husband Henry a gardener in the 1871 Census...last found in 1861 Roxburgh Census  and 1851 Wigtown, the latter she  living with her mother Hellen Kirk and husband Henry.
In 1861 she was 66 so may have died. I wonder if some kind person would be able to search for her and Henry

Thank you fo rthe suggestions, I have had the city directories checked a few years ago bu  no-one could narrow
it down and a kind person also called Jim Clark even rang around the names in the directories  but to no avail..
I am in NZ so its very hard to get hold of Canadian rescourses so rely on generous volunteers
As you say a rRoots chatter may be of help. If I could find James D Clarks birth it would be a help in narrowing the years

Valeriec   ...my you have been busy, thank you very much for all the information and suggestions...I will try those.
I did have most of the info you sent already apart from the Janet and John...sounds interesting. Might be worth looking into.
 Yes they are connected by the name Robertson as Jean McEwan and Archies mother Marion were sisters and their father was Archibald, mother Elizabeth Mitchell ....there wasn't a Janet in the family although I will have search of the Scotlands People website just in case there was another bairn.

Yes, I tried all sorts of variations but no luck..but thank you fo ryour suggestions it all helps !I have tried the newspapers etc but never received a reply

Thank you very much, I will try the library...I have the marriage and death notices of Elizabeth George and Mary but not James , his headstone is beside Marys and has nothing engraved on it. The daughter Jean died 20 Aug 1993. so maybe the library will have a copy of the newspaper her notice is in.  I wil have another search of the BC Archives site you gave to see if I can find James again. The ones i have found are not the correct person

Hi again...yes I did try all versions of McEwan on that site but nothing comes up at all unfortunately.
 I know they were buried in Brookside Cemetery but it seems they have not been properly registered but thanks fo rthe suggestion. It is quite frustrating

Thank you both, Aghadowey for the link, I have tried that for my McEwans but there is nothing there unfortunately and Jaquie that Archibald and Muriel in 1925 are mine so thank you for that and for searching in Detroit, much appreciated/

Searching for the descendants of Elizabeth McRae daughter of Mary Robertson and James Simpson of Scotland but who emigrated from there to Vancouver. She married George McRae and had sons Gordon, George Alexander and Robert, daughters Marie Hartwig and Jean Watts (died 1993) Mary, Elizabeth and George along with Jean are buried in the Ocean View Cemetery, Elizabeth was my grandfathers cousin. Any help or information no matter how little would be much appreciated

Have come to a brickwall trying to find my mothers cousin James D Clark son of Andrew and Florence who lived in Toronto. The parents separated and Andrew moved back to Calgary in 1956....he died in 1961 and Florence and James were still in Toronto...I have no idea how to try and find James. Any suggestions or help would be most welcome thank you
