Didn't know that "Butcher" was spelled differently on the South coast!

Also look at the 2 storey flat roofed building beyond the shops. All buildings to the right of the shops were demolished a number of years ago - including the grey concrete building - and the junction widened.

As I said, I thought Bill was right - although whether its actually in Stockport, I have my doubts. The boundaries of Stockport, Manchester and Tameside come together at this junction.

Also bear in mind that Cheadle Royal is, and always has been, a private hospital.

Hi Zoe
Mine haven't moved very far from what is now the Hazel Grove area since at least the late 1700's. My current problem is tracing the birth/baptism of my GGG Grandfather William b.circa 1797 in Norbury. Until I find him, I can't go back any further.
Cheers

Just a 5 minute light improvement. Incidentally, which part of Cheshire is your Tomlinson interest?

Technical Help / Re: iPod ... how to delete old podcasts
« on: Wednesday 01 December 10 10:07 GMT (UK)  »
Another option would be to try resetting your iPod. May sound scary but if you connect the iPod to iTunes and click on it this is one option you should see towards the bottom. In theory this should clear everything off it and re-set it to default. You can then re-sync it and everything in iTunes will re load - hopefully minus the deleted podcasts

If that fails, have a look at the Apple website here - http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/ - apart from the Mac sponsored FAQs there will be a bulletin board for your particular iPod on which someone is bound to have come across this problem before - if not you can join and post yourself.

Happy clicking

I had a quick look at the link but, as an avid iPod user, didn't find it that useful. The simple answer to your question is that everything on your iPod is controlled via iTunes. If you want to delete something delete it from iTunes and next time you synchronise your iPod, it will magically disappear.

If it's where Bill says - and I think it is - its not actually in Stockport. That side of the road is in Manchester (or possibly even Tameside) the boundary is a bit complicated round there so you need to check.
