Ancestral Family Tree DNA Testing / Ancestry DNA search filters

I have got a surname result that I am very interested in whilst using the search filters within my DNA matches. The person has a private tree. Do you only get surname results to a DNA matches direct ancestors?
So far they have not written back.
I also typed the surname of what would be the spouse and that came up for the same person. Birth location (which would apply to their children) ditto.

Technical Help / Best tablet for reading magazines and font size?

I am wondering if anyone reads magazines on their ipad/tablet. I am not very good with small fonts. I have a Kindle and usually use the second largest font. Can read the third largest, but prefer the other.
Any personal recommendations?

Birthplace given for a Margaret Jane Drysdale (nee Wood) b. abt 1864. 1901 Census for Togstone.

Monmouthshire / What is this place name in Monmouthshire, please?

Looking at the 1851 Wales Census for Margaret Lane born about 1831 and living with husband David Lane in Full Moon, Upper Machen, Monmouthshire.

Ancestry has the family as David "Jane" and "Margrete Jane".

David is from Clutton, Somersetshire, but I cannot decipher the town in Monmouthshire his wife is from?

Northumberland / To be native of specific parish...Norham Durham Northumberland Mary Ann Metcalf

Getting very confused trying to work out the parents of my x5 great grandmother with no baptism. I am getting somewhere I hope!

To be considered of a specific parish i.e. Norham (Durham) Northumberland did you have to be born there or just have spent considerable time there?

No baptism or marriage found but on her last two children's baptisms it states she is a "Native of Norham". To me this implies born there.

The Common Room / Travelling blacksmith c.1790's

Was it normal for a blacksmith to be travelling with his forge? I note that they did this during the Civil War in America.
My ancestor was travelling around various villages in the North East of England from his children's baptisms in Northumberland and his own marriage locations. This was between 1792 - 1808 that I know of.

Devon Lookup Requests / Parish record for Axminster 1764?

I have a marriage indexed as Thomas Legerwood and Grace Collier 31 May 1764 Axminster, Devon. I am wondering if there is any image available of a parish register? Sometimes you get lucky with profession and witnesses. There is no image available on Find My Past for Devon Marriages.
