Please can anyone help me with working out the numbering of the houses down this road in 1901/1911.   In 1911 there seem to be numbers from 1 - 61 and yet on the map there don't appear to be that many houses, just the row of 13 or so cottages on the left down from the junction with Lumley road, which is in fact the houses I am researching.  but I cannot work out from the censuses which are these precise houses.  thank you.

Does anyone know of a passenger list for this ship that left Holland  in 1817 for America but ended up in Bergen Norway ?  It has a fascinating story which is well documented.

thank you for all this, I do appreciate it.   in the 1970's, my gran was asked if she wanted an urn from her parents grave as they were removing it to make a rose garden and grass path.   the grave had been bought in perpetuity.   I have since looked for their grave and other names now appear in tis rose garden, but not my great grandparents . . . .

hello.  I am researching the jute mills of Dundee, particularly those belonging to Chalmers and Hackney, North Tay Street.  the big Tay St Mills were owned in the late 1840's I believe by the Gilroys, I think this was the mill owned originally by Boyack.   can anyone tell me where were the Chalmers Hackney mills in relation to this enormous mill?

(William Hackney and Charles Chalmers were the early mill owners and I would also love more information as to how they started this mill. )

thank you.
