I suppose when Gwynedd FHS get round to transcribing them. I know the Clwyd FHS has been hard at it for years, hence the regular updates.

For some reason Gwynedd seems to do its own thing and then end up lagging behind. They very rarely answer emails either.

On the other hand, you could always contact the coordinators of the North Wales BMD and offer to transcribe the parishes that you are interested in. Thats what I did with FreeCEN.

They are all in touch with each other anyway, and are usually good enough to forward queries to the correct RO, if you happen to send it to the wrong one.

They are not leaping out at me either!   Just as a matter of interest why is the post headed Sheppard when we are looking for Harvey?
Andrea

not got my thinking hat on at all today.

Sarah Frances was born Sheppard. She married George Harvey in 1832 in Folkington, Sussex.

Actually I started off wanting to ask for Sarah's father in 1851 (Thomas). The Sheppard family lived in Folkington, and I've had some info that Sarah died there.

I then changed my mind, but forgot to change the heading.

Can somebody please look up this couple in the 1851 census?

George Gayton Harvey (born 1832)
Sarah Frances Harvey (born 1808)

With them should be their son Frederick Rosingrave Harvey, born in 1840.

Sarah and George married in 1832 in Folkington, Sussex.

Ta,

Gloucestershire / Re: Baghot/De la Bere

FWIW I followed up some years ago on the Staffordshire Bagots but concluded that there is no connection despite the similarity in name.

I thought it would be a bit too much of a coincidence. But at least its now something I don't have to follow up....  ;)

OK, I've managed to find what I had tucked away. Here it is:

1st Generation

John Neale Esq. of Dean, son of John Neale and Anne Cromwell, He married Hester Stephens, daughter of John Stephens of Lypiate Park, Gloucester, succeeded his father. John and Hester had issue:
- Thomas Neale
- Ann Neale
- Hester Neale
John, having no male surviving issue was succeeded by his brother, Henry

2nd Generation

Thomas Neale, son of John Neale, was buried at Dean 22 Oct 1671

Ann Neale daughter of John Neale, married Thomas Stephens Esq. of Lypiate Park.

Hester Neale daughter of John Neale, married Kynard de la Bere Esq. of Southern Park, Gloucestershire (bapt. 14 June 1666 in Bishops Cleeve, Gloucester), on 23 May 1699 in Gloucester.

Not really much to go on, but its not a line I've really followed up, as I am descended from John Neale's brother, Henry Neale(1st generation). The de la Bere's are therefore only "married in". However I have traced the Neale line back to a death in the reign of Richard III who was King between 1483 and 1485.

PS I also have several Bagot connections, but this Bagot line was in Staffordshire, with lands in Denbighshire. Maybe a link there somewhere as well.

PPS The Anne Cromwell was a cousin of the more famous Oliver.

Hi Liz,

what is it you are looking for in particular?

If its census info, can you tell us what you already have? Also any info such as birth, marriage or death would also be quite handy.
