Hi all, my cousin's husband was related to one of these boys I will have to try and find out which one. I know he said the boys who survived were given special watches as a sort of 'compensation' for what they went through.

Hi Claire

Would love to know when you find out.

I'd love to join your FB group too. I sent a request to your page (pretty sure it's the right one).

I also received an email from a Faye who said: could pop them (Nancy or the other Paul relative) a message to say another family member had surfaced. Also you all may find a book by my 2nd cousin interesting

I've read The Brats. Great book. Very true to life I think.

I have the above resource. Let me know if you want any information from it.

Hi Merlin,

Yes, I would love some info please.

I'd like to know the location of headstones (section, row, grave) for any people named GOLD  (about 14 of them I believe) and Owen FITZPATRICK D:1941 (all in Catholic section).

Many thanks  :)

I should have thought of that before. I'm going to Bathurst tomorrow so no time to check now.

Australia / Bathurst Cemetery - COMPLETED
« on: Friday 15 July 16 01:03 BST (UK)  »
Hello all,

Is anyone able to advise the gave location details?

I want to go to Bathurst Cemetery (Robin Hill) to take photos of family headstones but to make it easier I'd like to know the location of them (section, row, grave) beforehand so I'm not wandering up and down rows for hours.

All GOLD people (about 14 of them) and Owen FITZPATRICK d1941 (all in Catholic section).

I've emailed Bathurst Council but they haven't replied. Apparently the local family history society have all the details & have a CD available for sale but I can't afford the cost and don't have time to visit them to view it (even if I could).

Many thanks

Renfrewshire / 1871 Census lookup Greenock West - Barbour
« on: Sunday 14 February 16 11:51 GMT (UK)  »
If someone has access to 1871 Census for Greenock West I'd appreciate confirmation on the following names as Ancestry has it transcribed badly.

The Barbour family lived at High Murdieston from 1841-1901 Census.

Ren Of Mill Wendrick (This is probably High Murdieston)
Thomas Barbon      61  Greenock;  Parish M?? (occupation - farmer?)
Ann Barbon           46  (Agnes?)
Ann Barbon           16  (Agnes?)
Archibald Barbon   12
John Barbon          12
Jane Barbon          10  Scholar  (James?)
Martha Barbon        8  Scholar
Spence Barbon        7m  (Thomas?)
William Barbon        1  Boarder;  Farmers Euther ??  (I'm assuming William and Jane are relatives)
Jane Barbon          16  Boarder

Many thanks

Libby
