St. Andrew Street is shown on this 1850s Map of Liverpool on my website.

Click on the Kensington sheet (2nd row, 5th col) and scroll down to the bottom.

The map doesn't cover Mab Lane, it stops at the bottom of Deysbrook.

Thanks for your comments.
Ken, I will ask for the post to be moved to the Lancs Resource Forum.
Migky, I'm not too keen on posting my images on a commercial website, especially when I have to pay for the privilege.

The Daily Post have just published a 2-page centre spread about the LiverpoolStreetGallery project :

Lancashire / Old photos of Liverpool

Here's a few images, taken from my meagre collection of RP postcards.

Anfield Road School 1915 - on the back of this card it says: "W.E.Jones, front row, 3rd from right - died 1998".

Newark Street, off County Road - c.1909

Stanley Park - 1904

Anfield Road, Liverpool 4

The final image can also be viewed on the  Liverpool Street Gallery website.
An article about this project will appear in the Daily Post on Monday 30th June.
We are still looking for contributors, so if you have a camera or some old pictures of Liverpool, why not post them on the website.

See you,

Here's a few more images.

Ruskin St., L4, looking towards Everton Valley.

Dale St., L2

Marldon Chambers, North John St., L2

We are still looking for volunteers. This will be a valuable archive in years to come. All you have to do is take a few photos of your local streets. If every person took 10 pics we'd finish this project in a few months.

See you,

Thanks for the comments.
It's not my site, I'm just one of the volunteers. The site is managed by Dave Wood of fame.

If anyone is interested in old pictures of Burlington and Prince Edwin Streets, then check my site out at
