Here is the FS record for Robert Bradford I beleive

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/J63B-T38

Anc* has him shown as Robt Radford, transcription error on their part. Shows he was living on Concession 10, Belfast and occupation as farmers day labr. Died of inflamation of lungs. Informant was an H. Bradford, who I assume is their son Henry.

Depending on how enthusiastic someone is about pursuing ownership records, the New Westminster Land District (which covers the majority of the Greater Vancouver area) does have this information available. It involves actually going into their offices to start the process, and they will not give out the current ownership information without the owner's permission or pin codes. Historical information is available, but from personal experience, the route that sami is suggesting is far easier and is available online up to the early 1950's. Unless you need to know exactly who "owned" the property, the folks that lived at any given address for most years can be determined.

It would definitely be helpful to have the address of your Union Street relatives...

Canada Lookup Request / Re: Mackenzie family from Lochbroom, Ross-Shire, Scotland

The Simon Mackenzie on the Ocean Arrivals cards lists his destination as Moose Jaw Saskatchewan, but also lists his father Allan in Inverness as his contact so I don't think this is your Simon...

The Rodina Mackenzie on the Detroit cards IS your  Rodena. She lists her birth place as Lochbroom,
father as John at Ferry Inn, Ullapool(?) Scotland. Heading to her sister Mrs (Ivanville?) at 4810 Fernwood (no city, assume Detroit?) Rodena is 27 years 8 months old and a telephone operator who was living in London Ontario. She lists her date of landing at Nov 20 1926 at Quebec onboard the Montclair.

I cannot find a Peter or Simon to match yours in the Detroit cards....

No additional information on the marriage(s?) happening, but this is a short blurb on the life and that he appears to mostly go by Norman....

Norman Terry - Forester

There are many possibilities in the early directories, and the marriage registration may clear things up or muddle them further!

I don't know if those directories are available online, but if you haven't already tried it, the newspaper I found the two write ups on Prudence' marriage is available online from the 1890's through 1909....you could start reading it page by page looking for more information that the Google scanner didn't pick up via OCR. Maybe there is a reference to ship arrivals, or new business etc etc....?

Not that it is narrowing the window a terrible amount, but Martha returns to Scotland in January of 1903 on the Carthaginian, so that narrows the window even further. Additionally, Prudence's marriage announcement from the St Johns paper indicates she worked at Ayre & Sons store for "years" and thus her co-workers were fond of her....I would suspect that the family who immigrated must have done so very shortly after the 1901 census was taken...I'll keep digging around...

[Later that day...Just noticed your tree on ANC, so realize now you know when Martha returned...]

Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Assistance with dating this couple
« on: Monday 12 November 12 23:52 GMT (UK)  »
Hello all,

Fairly certain we know who this couple is, and when the photo was taken. The trouble is that it doesn't gel with other photos that are definitive in date and identity. Can anyone pinpoint a date for this? It was taken in Canada, just in case that assists with the style of dress on the lady.

THANKS!
CC

Do you have specific dates for either "E" or "M"?
