What is John’s status on the death certificate. Is he widowed?
Hi, trying to locate burial for my Get Grandfather John Mawson 1843 to 1929. Civil death registered Sunderland in September 1929. Unable to find a burial. Crematorium not nuilt till 1937. Ant ideas what to do next ? Thanks.Thanks everyone for contributions. Still stuck.
Suspect surname has been transcribed as Manson in the 1921 census.

If it is the same person, there is conflicting information on published trees so I wasn’t sure.

maybe of interest to you, it could be your Great Uncle was a 1st. Footman as apposed to a 2nd or 3rd, it looks like he is wearing cuffs and studs under his dust coat. He certainly has a military bearing.
