World War Two / RAF 1945 demob.

Hi everyone, getting confused again. My dads service records state that in November 1945 he was sent back to 3 REC , HE which would suggest he would return to where he left from in GB ( 2 PDC Wilmslow in , Cheshire ) for demob . However , it continues he was then sent to 104 PDC ( for release ) which was at Hednesford near Cannock. Obviously he could not be demobbed twice so does anyone have any idea whats going on here.

Can any one help ? By October 1945 my Dad was in Singapore with 273 Squadron after arriving from Bangkok. By November 45 he was to go to 3 Release centre (RC),Home Establishment (HE )Would this have the last base he was at in the UK ?

World War Two / A Question of Rank. RAF

Before he was posted to SE Asia my father started his service career as ACH/ PTI and was stationed firstly at 3 sof PT Loughborough in 1941 and a little later the Officers school Cosford 2 sof PT. On 25/01/41 his stataus changed to ACH/GD . Any ideas what was going on here ?. Would he have continued his PT instruction or as suggested reverted to general duties.? In 1942 he went for BAT training , which as he was ground crew also has me wondering. Any comments please. Many thanks as usual .

I have an old photo of my late father with an RAF unit in England outside a row of terraced houses. On the back he has written

107 Squad
D Flight
2 Wing
7 Squadron

Cpl/Inst Parry in centre.

It is not dated . What does the above mean ? I have his service record and nothing like the above is mentioned.

Any help appreciated.

My ancestors were Stonemasons up to 1815 from throughout the C18th in the same village in North Yorkshire.Does anyone know what training they would have had or would they have been part of a Guild ?

Trying to find two marriages . One for John Joseph Griffiths Born 1802 in Sheerness and wife Mary Ann Born 1808 in Northfleet. First child ,Margaret , Born Circa 1828. No more information known.

The other for his father ,John Griffiths ( occupation Miller ?) and mother Mary. first child born in Dec1799 in Sheerness. No more information known.
