Grace, I also had a tour of the school building, so kind of the current owner, She also showed me the research she had done on the school history and I gave her a copy of this photo to add to her records.
My family the Cook's lived in the village for generations and some are buried in the churchyard. I had always assumed the photo was of my grandfather or his siblings probably early 1900s but I know their father Thomas John Cook also went to the school in the early 1870's so that is also a possibility.
The school log book made very interesting reading, hardly a day passed without at least one child getting the cane, including many of my family.
