I am still looking for my great grandfather b. abt -76/77, on the 1901, 1911 census has him place of birth Sheffield but all the Edward's around that time don't seem to match. on both those censuses he was living in Wales. occupations have been Railway Ganger, platelayer, foreman platelayer, Famer. he owned Abergafren farm in Minffordd, he was deacon at the English Prestyberian chapel for 16 years worked for the railways for over 40 years according to his Obituary. he was married to Mary Jane jones. Married in 1899 Newtown. 5 children or may have been 6. after leaving the farm he lived in a house called Trem Tecwyn

I found out recently with regards to the 1911 census he had a H as his middle name, which was Humphrey. with searches that alot of people have helped me with in my quest to find his birth entry. they think the answer lies in North Wales.

A friend has found and entry for an Edward Humphery Jones b. in Machenlyth sorry for any spelling mistake. In his obituary notice says that he was b. Newtown.

on the marriage cert it lists an Edward Jones as his father but deceased at the time of marriage.
on the census records my friend found also listed Edward as Head Wife Ann.

Witnesses on the marriage cert were William Jones bride's father, and Ann Jones could this have been his mother.

Died Jan 18th 1956, and is buried with his wife in the cemtary in Minffordd as is his daughter & son in law.

Many thanks

Zoe

Hi

Looking for information on the occupants of 2 Bristol  Street, in 1881, Henry & Hannah Jones, children Sarah J, Edward and Rose but Rose's full name was Florence Rose, I think Edward may be my great grandfather. I have tried google maps to see if I could see the road they may of lived on but to no avail, Hannah may be my Great great grandmother, but I know Henry wasn't Edwards father but is the father of Rose, Sarah has the surname of her mothers maiden name of Williams. b. 1869 d. 1881 in Northampton.

Hi, I am looking for a Hannah Ann Williams, b,1842 Derby, I think may be My great great Grandmother, I know she had a Daughter called Rose Florence Jones( Rose's Father was called Henry, ) Hannah i think had 2 other children but by a different Man, the other children were called Sarah Jane & Edward, (Edward was my great grandfather) on his marriage cert it has father down as Edward.

I am told Edward was born in Sheffield 1873, but can't find any birth record that matches, Sarah born in Derby,

Also can't find any possible marriages for Hannah either to an Edward or a Henry.

My Great grandfather went on to live in Wales.

Hi,

I am trying to find out actually where my great great grandmother is actually buried, there has always been a bit of a dispute as to exactly where, one thing I definitely do know is that she is buried in Llanasa, but this is where the dispute comes in, My grandfather always stated that she was buried in the church grounds, (around the back) his youngest brother disputed this by saying she was buried in the church yard across from the church. Her dughter and Son-in_ law are buried in the church yard, and her name is a headstone long with her daughter & son- in -law, is there anyway of finding out where a person is actually buried.

I know we are not allowed to ask about living people on here, but a friend is desperate to find her father, I was just wondering how she could go about finding him, I have got that much on him, only that he married twice, moved to Derbyshire after his 2nd Marriage and they lost touch but don't really if he's still in the area, if any one could or advise me on how to help her find dad.
