Technical Help / Denied access to network
« on: Sunday 16 July 23 11:36 BST (UK)  »
Since last night my husbands phone can't connect to the internet.
It says access denied with a padlock on the Wifi code.
All other devices work fine.,
It's a Huawei.
I found this page but am reluctant to do it as it seems quite complicated to me.
Any advice please.

The Lighter Side / North Wales Nostalgia
« on: Thursday 06 July 23 19:48 BST (UK)  »
On Facebook there is a group called The Official North Wales Nostalgia Facebook Group.
Over the last few weeks there have been many old photos of people and places around Corwen, Llandrillo   Llangollen etc. They are very interesting and well worth a look.
They were posted by John Wheeldon whose brother found a box of slides in a Corwen street in the 80s.
Fascinating.

Technical Help / Google maps
« on: Monday 08 May 23 11:56 BST (UK)  »
When I go on Google maps I have a screen of "lists" which I have only my home address saved.
There are 3 icons timeline, following and maps.
The first 2 have nothing saved but if I tap maps I get a list of places I must have viewed in the past.
How do I get rid of these.

Also is best to leave web &  maps activity turned on or off.
I have set it to off . Auto delete after 3 months is on. This is on Maps.

To be honest I'm rather confused.  Thanks.

Technical Help / Search doesn't work on Android
« on: Friday 31 March 23 14:13 BST (UK)  »
https://www.wrexham.gov.uk/service/wrexham-cemetery-burial-records-search-facility

The name search doesn't work on my Samsung tablet or phone. Not on Google, Samsung internet or Google Chrome.
I do get results if I search for a year,  but that's a bit useless really.
It is fine on my desktop with Chrome.

Farrell is a name which is definitely there.

Any ideas .

Denbighshire / Burial grounds Ruabon.
« on: Wednesday 08 March 23 19:09 GMT (UK)  »
If you were Nonconformist in the 19th c in Rhosllanerchrugog/ Ruabon area where would you be buried.
I'm finding deaths but no entries in Parish registers.
I'm not having much luck with earlier burial grounds and not quite sure when Rhosllanerchrugog Cemetery opened.
Thanks

South Africa / Welsh emigrants c 1900s
« on: Sunday 26 February 23 12:38 GMT (UK)  »
John Bowyer / Boyer Phillips born 1875 sailed to South Africa from Southampton on the Grantully Castle in April 1910.
His relative William Phillips b c 1875 was already there before 1902 when he came home for a visit.
Both were born in Rhosllanerchrugog,  Denbighshire,  Wales.
This information is from Newspaper articles.
I would like to find more. Where did they go.
Thanks
