London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / Kensington Barracks 1883?

Hi All

Have birth cert of an ancestor William Henry Boxall, born dec 1882 at Kensington Barracks and registered in may 1883 at Kensington Barracks. His father Harvey BOXALL was a soldier, mother was Charlotte Caroline Boxall formerly RIORDAN. Cannot trace any of them in the 1881 census. Anybody know what the barracks were for in Kensington and which war the soldiers went to around that time?

The Lighter Side / Ancestral success story at last!

Hi All

Just a note to say I finally obtained the 3 missing birth certs of certain ancestors on my direct line from Cannock Register Office. Paid yesterday, received today, and all living where I thought they were. Also rootschatters helped me on the 1891 find them so having got all the ref points I am now a very happy person

Now only need the marriage of the parents between 1876 and 1881 and I am laughing

but so far has taken 7 years and no joy at all for my great grandfather. Cannot find GRO index refs, Cannock is looking, no church records, so probably register office. Fingers crossed $:-\$ may find them soon.

Hope this is in the right section and not been asked before!
Correct me if I am wrong.
Just a question as some sites say most ever users at one time on day and time etc. Does Rootschat have something similar as it lists who is on and how many on the main board but have we ever had a record number of people on?

England / Marriage of Harold George SQUIBB post 1926

Hi everyone

Trying to find a marriage of Harold George SQUIBB to Florence HUNT (b1899 Sandhurst - nee Netherclift or even Draycott as her siblings use one for birth and another for marriage!) Florence was remarrying as her first husband died in Windsor, Ontario, Canada and she came back about 1925-1926 and remarried. Squibb seemed to have a builders business or plumbing and seemed at one point to be in Weymouth with Oxford connections. I am guessing she married before WW2, in the UK.

Yorkshire (North Riding) / Humphrey family easingwold/husthwaite

Hi all

A puzzle for me for years I have a Thomas Humphrey b 1773 married Ann Taylor b 1776 in 1801 at Husthwaite with Carlton (near Easingwold) both are born ther. They have 6 or children. Problem is I also find on IGI and in the subscription books showing transcripts of parish registers in the archive at Nottingham which show a Thomas Humphre and Ann Taylor in Easingwold marrying 3 months later or earlier than the Husthwaite lot and having similar named children baptised at the church in Easingwold. Would it be likely that they went to both parishes one for banns etc and baptised children in both churches as I have seen rebaptisms quite a few years later in different churches so it does happen. This family is driving me loopy

It is a direct line as well.

Lincolnshire / Birth of William Reynolds 1758 Ashby cum Fenby

Hi all

Trying to trace William Reynold 1758 I think in Ashby Cum Fenby, I know he died there in 1838 but cannot find the birth record so I can find his parents.
I know he married Ann Blythe (b1755 but do not know her parents, she died 1823 in Ashby cum Fenby) circa 1788 as first child 1789.

Any help appreciated or pointers as to where to look.

Been stumped for ages on this one so revisiting it.

Warwickshire Lookup Requests / 1861/1871 MORRIS in Birmingham

Hi all

Looking for James Bottley MORRIS born abt 1818 in West Bromwich, and should be in Birmingham 1861/1871 I have found him in 1851 in Aston area and he is an Engineer. He is married in 1837 to Maria Susannah Seares with 3 children Maria S Morris 1844, Henry James Morris 1845 and Thomas Walter Morris 1852, they were all born in Birmingham. I know he died before 1881, but don't know where.

Staffordshire / James Bottley Morris 1818 West Brom

Hi all

Really stuck on James Bottley Morris b 1818 in West Bromwich. Cannot find siblings and probable parent is John Morris, no mother. Can't find baptism etc. I know he married in 1837 in Birmingham so have most info forward no prob except census 1861 and 1871 as he is dead before 1881. Just frustrating as cannot find parents marriage for him. Been trying 7 years. Any suggestions?

Berkshire / Church register for HUNT Sandhurst

Hi all

Does anyone have access to the Parish Church registers for Sandhurst area?

I have an Edward Hunt born Oct 7th 1896 in Berkshire and his mother Annie E Hunt lives in College Town Camberley, I assume this is Sandhurst.

Can anyone help as trying to find the parents.
