Hi Aidansrest

Have you tried the Metcalfe Society on the web?  They hold all things Metcalfe and variant spellings.  I am a member as I have Yorkshire Metcalfes.  Well worth the joining fee.

Hi Ecneps and all

Phoned the Teeside office as your post and they looked up but could not find anyone as there was only 3 cemeteries open in 1893.  :'(  I therefore assume that being probably C of E the nearest church in North Ormesby was Holy Trinity.  Where could I find the MI's as it is to late for the IGI registers.  ???  Looking for a William Pratt died June 22 1893 at Railway Terrace, North Ormesby.

Many thanks

Hi Roobarb

Checked out the link and the first one has a broken email for the cemetery but the second one works for St Cuthberts.  Fingers crossed :o

Thanks

Hi All

Looking for a burial of William Pratt died June 22 1893 at 12 Railway Terrace, North Ormesby, Middlesborough.  Assumed Anglican so would he be buried at the Church (is it St Cuthbert's?) or the local Cemetery.  ???

His wife Ann or Annie (born 1848) is still alive in 1911 census and in Middlesborough so presume she may also be buried in same place.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks
