Thanks for the information. I had already got an image of the census, over two pages. There is also Amy's Mum living with them.

Yorkshire (West Riding) Lookup Requests / 1891 census look up. BALMFORTH in Clayton
« on: Saturday 10 September 05 14:47 BST (UK)  »
Hi All

Would it be possible for someone to do a look up for Ephraim BALMFORTH born c1849 in Bradford please.
In the 1871 census he was with wife Sarah and children Flora age 4, Elizabeth age 2 and Hannah age 11 months.
In the 1881 he is widowed, still with children.
In the 1901 he is widowed but with a different set of children the oldest John W age 18. So he probably remarried.
In all the above census's they are in Clayton

TIA

Hi All
Would some kind soul have a look for Ephraim Balmforth please.
He was born c1849 in Queensbury., so he would be approx 12 & 22 yrs.
He is a stone mason on the 1901 at Clayton.
All his children were born in Queensbury so that's where I think he will be.
TIA

Hi All

I have requested this lookup before but not been given the page folio references.
I think they are in Bingley in Yorkshire.

I would be even more delighted to receive a copy of the census image if that is possible.

James Busfield 1815  Greenhow Hill, Yorkshire, England Head
Rebecca Busfield 1811  Draughton, Yorkshire, England Wife
Thomas Busfield 1840  Morton, Yorkshire, England Son
Sarah Busfield 1843  Morton, Yorkshire, England Daughter

TIA

Well,
 ::) ;D ;D

I'm very happy as I have just discovered that James and Rebecca are the parents of Thomas thanks to the lead by Pauline.

Realised this by the 1871 census as their Grandson William H Busfield is with them.

I would love to see the 1861 census if possible and also the 1841, 1851 if anyone is willing to help.

Thanks

Hi Pauline

Thankyou for the 1861 census.  It looks very promising.
Thomas died just before the 1881 census at Charlestown, Morton, Bingley.
I have not been able to find a marriage for Thomas and Mary Christiana.
Their 1st child was born in 1866 so I would have thought it was around that time.

Could you let me have more information about the 1861 census please.
