New Zealand / birth Of mary ann Smith
« on: Sunday 06 June 21 06:09 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for the birth Of Mary Ann SMITH about 1852. Nz She married 1870 july 19th at a dwelling house Kakamatua Manukau Harbour to Thomas PRIOR. The only birth I can find in Historical BDMs is a mary Ann Smith her parents being Robert Smith and Esther whom turned out to be Henley. This has turned out not to be her.  I have read the obit of Mrs M A PRIOR 2 sept 1940 this is her. I think her father was Robert Smith and Hannah Willis. Other children were born in Tasmania. I would also like to find the ship they came to Nz on from Tasmainia which I know may not be possible. Thanks lnr

Buckworth Lincs now living as a widow in the civil parish of Billingham Durham Next time we see George he is in Nz with his sons John and Samuel, Daughter MaryAnn and Charlotte with No Susan Now on a family tree it has been stated that a Susan Read married A john Daniel REDDING that by their marriage cert and Susans death cert that its not her as this Susan Read was Irish.  If you have a look at the Police gazettes through ancestry  up to 1894  a Henry Alexander scott is there for wife desertion on various accounts and different years 1893 being unable to provide for his wife and infant, so was this Isabella Millar Scott that was born 1889? according to one of these reports 1893 he was 39 which makes his birth abt 1854 the same as the 1919 Death thanks lnr
