Still looking for leads on my great grandfather Richard Laycock's ancestors. He was born around 1836/1837 at Warlaby, Ainderby Steeple and Christened in St Helens Church.I've now found he had a sister MARIA born 1827,also at Ainderby Steeple,North Yorkshire, their mother was ALICE LAYCOCK...no mention of his,  nor Marias, father.Does anyone  have Maria in their family tree please? He married Ann ? from Bolton le Swale,North Yorkshire , probably around 1861.
Thankyou , Kattysoo

Hello again, I've found out now that Richard's mother was called Alice Laycock who also had a daughter Maria born 1827 but no mention of the father of Richard and Maria.Richard married (probably around 1861) Ann ?  born about 1839 ,who came from Ellerton,Bolton on Swale,North Yorkshire.Does anyone know if the Churches St Marys,Bolton on Swale and St Helens, Ainderby Steeple still have tombstones standing ?I'm completely stumped now.

Hello Ticker, yes that is the family, thank you, they moved from Yorkshire to County Durham, where I live now.I'm hoping to find Richard's parents,I've no idea where they came from but as he was born in Warlaby I thought it a good idea to start there.
