Thankyou both - something to definitely follow-up.

Mary Ann Alexandre (born 12 Oct 1825 in St Peter Port, Guernsey, parents James Alexandre and Mary Hendley Allez) was living with Mr and Mrs Kennedy in St Anne, Alderney in 1851 census. (Her parents were living still in St Peter Port.)
George Haines (born 22 Sept 1828 in Northwood isle of Wight, parents James Haines and Clarissa Coundley) was with his parents in Sun Hill, west Cowes, Isle of Wight in 1851 census.
By 26 Dec 1852 they were married when their eldest son James Alexander Haines was born in St Helier, Jersey.
By 1854 they had moved to Sun Hill West Cowes.

Any help in finding their marriage record would be appreciated.

Hi Martyn,
Since I posted on James Graham all those years ago my research has discovered much of his story, his father's and his grandfather's, both of whom were also James Graham. If you private message me your email I can give you all the details.

My friend has managed to get a hold of Helen Jane Buckingham (nee Cattanach)' s daughter's birth certificate from 1956. It refers to Helen Jane's husband, Ralph as deceased in 1952 so that confirms his death. As no other father is mentioned and helen Jane didn't remarry until 1958, the father is unknown.

Hi,
I'm looking for Ralph Edward Buckingham. The information I have:

Private Ralph Edward Buckingham K99675 transferred from no 10 Company to no 4 Company Canadian Forestry Corps. No 4 Company embarked at Halifax Canada 5th April 1941 and disembarked at Gourock 20th April 1941. They were at Dinnett by 23rd April 1941.
Ralph married Helen Jane Cattanach Aboyne, Aberdeenshire 1942 and two boys were born 1942 and early 1946.
The Canadian Forestry Corps ceased operations in Scotland 20th March 1945.
Ralph would have returned to Canada with his Company. The wives of the men went to Canada separately.
18th Sept 1946 Helen J Buckingham and children – Allen R aged 4y 1m and Leonard age 10m who had been living at Balnault Hut, Crathie departed Southampton on board the Aquitana for Halifax Canada.  Address in Canada – Mr R.E. Buckingham, 81, Augusta Ave., Toronto.
10th March 1953 Helen Buckingham age 33, Allan age 10 and Leonard age 7 arrived in Southampton on board the Ascania from Halifax. Address in Scotland - Balnault Hut, Crathie. No sign of Ralph having come to Britain again.
I'm presuming Ralph died sometime between 1946 and 1953 as helen Jane remarried in Scotland 1958. Any help in confirming this would be appreciated.

Wicklow / FARRELL - Kilmichael, Wicklow or Wexford
« on: Thursday 29 September 11 20:48 BST (UK)  »
Hi,
Looking for any info for a friend of mine on the following Farrell family:

1911 census at Kilmichael, Kilgorman, Wexford
Farrell   William   31   Farmer
Farrell   Sarah   35
Farrell   Kate           6
Farrell   Jas           4
Farrell   Mary Ellen  2
Farrell   William   4 months

She's looking for a Mary Farrell who gave her address as Kilmichael Arklow Wicklow in 1933.  As Kilmichael is on the border of Wexford and Wicklow, there's a possibility that the family above could be the right one.
Without visiting Ireland to check the electoral rolls, any suggestions of where to look would be appreciated.
Thanks
Jo
