Oh, I am familiar with that process!  It's alot of work, isn't it?  I won't be getting to that area until next year, so I may have to wait.

Regards,

Nick

Hi William - Thanks for your reply.  I was afraid that 1841 was missing, and I know that 1851 is not up on Ancestry.  I've messaged them about this, but they've given me definitive answer, except to sat that they haven't finished entering everything and they don't know if/when they will get to Ruabon.  Do you know if these records actually exist for 1851?

Regards,

Nick

Hello - I am looking for John Williams, blacksmith, and family in Ruabon; wife Margaret, sons John, Robert, Gomer.  John was born abt 1805 and Margaret about 1810.

Daughter Mary Ann should appear in 1841, but would not appear in 1851.

Many thanks!

Nick

Thanks - and yes, I was speaking to Ancestry last week, and they say 1851 will be up any day now.

Best wishes,

Nick

Thanks for your reply - I had wondered if it was missing.  Do you know if 1851 is available?

Hi Christopher - Many thanks for your suggestions!  Lavery seems to be more common in the north, but rare indeed in Clare.

I will follow-up your ideas and see what I can find...

Regards,

Nick

Hi Marie - You certainly have gone to great lengths!  I don't know that I will get quite as far as you - I may decide not to pursue it much further, given how hard it can be going looking in Ireland with so little information.  A third cousin of mine, also descended from Mary, may do some looking in Ireland - her father was Irish, as well.

Thanks for your reply and good wishes - it sounds like I will need some luck with this one!
