I would very much appreciate help in removing the unsightly blemishes in this photo. Jake and Ida lived in Belgrade, Montana in the early 1900s.
Many thanks.

I think the second word might be quincaillerie (hardware/ironmongery).

One word looks like "consanguin", which would suggest a blood relationship.

My thanks to all who have tried to help me with this.
There is definitely something "wrong" with the ship name as written on Ben's naturalization record. I've tried for years to solve this mystery. So far, it remains a mystery,
With appreciation,

Hello Maureen and heywood.
I found the document at ancestry.com  U.S., Naturalization Records, 1840-1957.  I tried to link the page, but it didn't work.
The name at ancestry is "Bonawantuna Poluchowski". Yes, he lived in Hazleton, PA.
I appreciate your interest in this.

Thank you.

Thank you Treetotal and heywood for your suggestions, which I appreciate.
Unfortunately I've never found a ship named "Persian" or "Persia" sailing from Bremen to New York in 1891. The search goes on.

Regards,
