On Michael Harnett marriage in 1923 his address is 38 Hamilton St SCR Dublin he states he is a merchant. On his brother Roberts marriage also in 1923 who has same address occ Manager. I am looking to know what business the brothers were engaged in. Thank you

Heywood have located some marriages for Harnett children. I am interested in Michael who married in 1923 states he is a Merchant 38 Hamilton Street Dublin. Would he be recorded in a Directory ? Wondering what business he had.

He is described as a Civil Servant on some children’s marriages, I think.

Glasnevin cemetery record shows the death as 60 yrs

The residence is correct too.
Great I just see Gurtaleen Co Cork which is correct . Cannot locate family in 1911 or death for Humphrey the surname varies from Harnett to Hartnett. Lots of work ahead to follow the family. Humphrey was my ggrandmothers nephew & I didnt know of his existence until yesterday. Thank you again. Rgds :)

Thank you Heywood I had seen this marriage in the Church Records in Rathmines but discounted it as Humphreys mothers name recorded as Julia Kelly (could this be an error) All the other info you give ties up i.e age, born County Cork Fathers name etc.

Humphrey Hartnett b Jan 1866 Gurtaleen Enniskeane Co Cork Ireland Parents David Hartnett & Julia Callaghan. I have searched the Civil reg no marriage or Death for him in Ireland. Also searched immigration to USA as he had family in Portsmouth New Hampshire USA. Cannot locate any records for him anywhere. Appreciate any assistance. Thank you

If you google ROCKLODGE YOUGHAL CO CORK it is a substantial house on Quarry Road maybe another option to consider? rgds
