Could you please supply a little more detial:
1 the 1842 census?  Which was this and can you link to it please?
2 death dates of the parents
3 siblings of John
4 Confirmation that you are aware of the many many variations of the spelling of the name Keane and have searched on these - Kean, Cain Caine, Kane etc.
5 have you searched on Family Search and Irish genealogy https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/
I would do soem searching on FS for you but my computer has decided to speak to me in Portuguese only...while I am able to make my way as a tourist in portuigal my skills are not up to reading BDM entries in that language.
The 1842 Census was recorded by a member of the Clergy here & not on line
Dont have death dates for Parents as I imagine it was prior to Civil Reg
Siblings of John were Mary Anne & Catherine
I am aware of all the variations of the Surname
I have searched all available sites no results I also thought John may have immigrated as it was during the period of the Famine in Ireland when many people left the country.
Thank you

There is a likely marriage for them in the Catholic Registers:

Dan Keane and Mary Ann Garde, 2 Nov 1851 Castlemartyr, Cork

No other details showing on the register. Very much a one line entry.

Monica Thank you for all the records much appreciated. I am trying to link this Keane family to a Bishop of Cloyne 1857-1874 who originated in Ballybutler also but as he would have been baptised early 1800's I have failed to locate a record. I am thinking that Daniel who was born circa 1811 no record found may have been a brother to Bishop William Keane :)

Yes, if there's a line through them, it typically means that they didn't sail.  However, sometimes it's because they were accidentally listed twice.  https://www.jewishgen.org/infofiles/manifests/left/
Thank you for information Kate definitely did sail at some point

From the length of the marriage given in the 1900 & 1910 census, it looks like John & Mary were married before they came to the US.

Mary's death record is here - https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:23T9-RDY

John appears to have died in 1928 per his gravestone -  h ttp://www.rootschat.com/links/01sm2/

I dont believe this John Ronayne is from my family as according to a Tree on FS he originated in Waterford as did his wife Mary Powers. Thank you
