Hi, Does anyone know the dressmaking company called 'Molyneux' (I think this is how it would be spelt)  I believe they were Court Dressmakers (along with other clients)  I would be looking at the period 1907 to around 1917 in London.   Thank you

Hi Skoosh,  Thank you so much for the link info.  It was great seeing the 17th Bat marching along.  Couldn't help but imagine that it was the 15th Bat. and our James Dargavel Copland marching off to war - certainly helped seeing what life was like in Glasgow in 1914/5.  Can't wait to share it with the family.  Thanks again

Thanks Tyrannosaurus,  Looks like this is our James Dargavel Copland.  Hadn't realized that he had been wounded so this is important information for our family.
Does it say what rank he held?
I'm not sure at this stage about the next of kin being in Irvine - more work for me to check out.
From memory I think he was in the Glasgow (Tramways) Bat.
Thanks again - very helpful.

Hi Allibaker,  Thanks for the posts.  No, I am not sure about the death dates.  Just fishing around trying to piece it all together.  Could I ask where you found Charles' death, age etc.
Maybe Jane was a daughter or ??    Obviously I have lots more to research and try to make some sense of it all. Your help is much appreciated. Cheers

Hi Old Rowley,   Hope I mistaken but I wonder if I missed reply to your post of 26th January.  If I did - so sorry.
Thank you for all the information you sent.  I think this must be our man - James Dargavel Copland from Glasgow.  When I get a chance I will try and follow your suggestions and look up more on Ancestry and 'FindMyPast.  Once again, much appreciated.

Wiltshire Lookup Requests / Charles Fluke marriage to Jane ?

I am trying to find details of Charles Fluke (b.1800) marriage to Jane  ?
from (I believe) Melksham, Wiltshire.  I am trying also to find Charles' parents details.
Charles died in 1838 Trowbridge and Jane died 1855 Trowbridge.
Is anyone else tracing the 'Fluke' family?   Thank you

Hi Bellou, Just noticed your post.  Did you ever find out if the Prince of Wales visited the Arsenal? I would be interested to know as my grandmother also worked there for about 1-1/2 years in WW1. Cheers
