Hello again Tom,

I´ve tried to find the info about Elizabeth Beaumont on the National Archives, but cannot find anything.  Any chance of a hot tip or two? Or can you send me the page you found with the info?

Thanks a million,

Eileen

 :) Good Morning Tom,

Thank you once again for the latest news of Elizabeth Beaumont ms Marr.  This I´ll definately follow up.
I have gotten quite far with the Beaumonts - a tragic family.  Son George died 2 yrs after his father, also a slater, he fell off a roof.  the daughter Eleanor died after a few yrs of marriage, Robert married late and had no children.  Son John was my gr.grandfather. I´ve searched the family as far as 1980, and am waiting for a death cert. from Scot. People, for Andrew Beaumont, John´s grandson, maybe I´ll still find some living relatives.

Have a nice day,

Eileen

Hello Tom,

Thank you very much.  I tried giving the details into SP, but they still didn´t come up with the document. Pity, as you know you can learn a lot from birth, marriage and death certs.

I have had a look into Freereg, and I´m quite fascinated by all they have to offer.

Thanks again,    Eileen

Good morning Tom,

Thanks a ton for all your info. I have been searching Scotland´s People over three years, and they never came up with the marriage certificate.  I will try freereg myself. And yes, I do think they have made a mistake with East Lothian.  Spelling mistakes are quite common aren´t they?

Regards,    Eileen

Hello Tom and Hibee,
Thanks for your answers.
It is definitely East then what looks like Latt  something, ending in g. It is scored through, so hard to read.

I´ve tried downloading it onto this note, but doesn´t seem to have worked. Not very good at these things. Oh - it has worked.   This is the page 1851, name Beaumont, George and Elizabeth.

Thanks again,   Eileen

Europe / Re: Germany - REBELEIN Johann spotted on WW1 personnel register online

Hello there,

Well the old german writing is really a problem - I enlisted the help of my husband, but we came up with no definite name for the husband:
Anderl or Ambaert, and
Marg. short for Margarete born Hoegner
Rebelein
Landneiß (ss)
Heidenheim

Sorry I couldn´t be of more help.
Regards,    Eileen

Hello there,

Can anyone tell me if they know a place called East Latting in Haddingtonshire?  It apears on the 1841 census of two of my ancestors?
Thanks,

Eileen Mcnaught
