Lancashire Completed Lookup Requests / Parish record lookup

Hello,

I thought I had posted a message on this forum but cant see it so am trying again. I am looking for a lookup in parish records in Wigan for the following people please.

Thomas Anderton marries Sarah Orrell, 4th May 1727 in Wigan. In the marriage record I have (family search) it states for birthplaces "of Billinge". These two people had two children:

John b. 4th April 1731 in Billinge
James b. 27th Oct 1728 i Billinge.

John married Mary Wood 5th Oct. 1756 in Winwick.

Back to Thomas and Sarah. I am looking for any information on these two but mainly when they were born and parents. Any and all help very much appreciated. Thank you

Hello,

I hope Im doing this correctly. I am looking for a lookup in the above parish records to see if there is anything at all more than I already have in the original transcript.

The source film number is 1885673.

The marriage I have is :

Thomas Anderton marries Sarah Orrell both of Billinge. 4th May 1727 in Wigan. I have been told that Orrell may not be her maiden surname but where she came from even though it says for her birthplace "of Billinge". Thomas and Sarah had only two children, John b. 1731 and James b. 1728. I am also told thomas and sarah may have died young hence no more children. There are many reasons why they only had two children. Any and all help re my lookup request very much appreciated. Thank you

Hello List,

My request is for a kind person who may have or visits a family history centre regularly. I am looking for a lookup if possible not in NZ but in England. I am looking at ordering a film through my centre but if there is a chance there is another centre who already has this film or the same that can be checked I would be very appreciative if someone can do it me. Following is what I am looking for.

MARRIAGE: Thomas Anderton marries Sarah ? 4th May 1727 in Wigan, Lancs. They were both of Billinge. Beside Sarah's name is the word Orrell. I have been told this may or may not be her surname but where she came from. They had two sons

John b. 4th april 1731 in Billinge
James b. 27th Oct. 1728 in Billinge

It seems they had only these two children. There are so many scenarios of why this was. So I am looking for the information that would be on the original transcript of the marriage to see if there is anything else of relevance.

The film is: Parish registers for Wigan 1580-1900. Source Film Number is 1885673.

All born billinge, wigan

I am looking for birth and parents of james and margaret if not too greedy. All help greatly appreciated. Thank you

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Thomas PERRY

Hi list,

I am hoping someone with more know how and access to more later years who might do a lookup for me or at least point me in the right direction. Please.

THOMAS PERRY. middle name TYSON. B 1901, Hertfordshire, St Albans. In the 1911 census aged 10, a school boy.

At some stage he ended up in Manchester. I am looking to find out who he married and what children he had. I have searched and can only come up with a WINIFRED McCreanney who he might have married in 1919 (8c 2239).

I definitely know he married a Winifred as in 1947, 18th July Thomas left england (port of London) with Winifred and came to New Zealand for a short time. Their address in england at the time had been:

7 Ash Grove, Victoria Park, Manchester.

Thomas was a "Motor Driver"
At the time of coming to NZ, thomas was aged 46 and Winifred was 47. Can anyone help please.

I am hoping someone may be able to help. I am researching the two names given above. I am looking for any info on a family living in Shankill (and what looks like Turloughmore) around the 1885-7.
The people are:

Micheal and Bridget Meehan (nee Farragher).

Can anyone help re perhaps electoral, census, BDM's. Any thing will be really appreciated. Two of the children they had were named Mary and Micheal. Mary was born 2/4/1887. Heres hoping

Hi all,

Still with my brick wall. I have found the following....

William Yuill, died 1864, Scotland. Doesnt say where. What it does say is....

William Yuill born 1789, Cathcart, Lanarkshire.

My query. Is there someone else on the list who is more clued up than me who might have access to death records and who may do a lookup for me. I know I can get a death cert. but dont want to risk him not being mine at this stage and wasteing money. I would like to know who he was married to if it says and where he died if not in Cathcart. Please please can anyone help. Anything appreciated. Thank you
