Hi there, I assume they married early thirties as the dates of children birth led me to think this.
I have bought a few certs but it works out expensive to buy lots.

I have Stanley family on my tree, this is via marriage so thought it would be interesting to follow this up.
As the 1940 electrol list is on line for Dublin I have so far come up with address Upper Cumberland Street and Gardiners Lane. I have also come across a fair number of births on Familysearch but carnt be sure they are all to the same parents.  Plus how can I trace children from parents after the 1958 cut off on Familysearch? I  find it difficult to post names as some of these people could be still alive. But asumming the older ones have died I have Thomas Stanley m Annie Higgins,  I think Annies parents are Mary and Patrick Higgins. If there is anyone out there who thinks this family are on their tree I would love to hear from you.

Thank you Steve G, your comments which are wise words to older person, who yes has got a bit caught up in the Irish track.  My problem is the lack of a paper trail, I shall try to look outside the box. ;D

Hay Steve G
Just had a look at the English 1911 census there are a few Thomas Ward's listed, however all give place of birth England(Birmingham even one for Solihull Ha Ha)

Carn't say for sure all these people born Ireland as only have certificate for Charles, but I think if I were a gambleing  person so to speak I think I'd go for the Irish connection :-\

Good morning Steve G. Think I'v misled you with Birmingham connection. Charles arrived there from  Dublin some time early 1948 to work but where he lived I'm not sure.
Kathleen/Ellen came to L'pool following year 1949, don't know why she stayed in L'pool unless there were family in L'pool!
I'v looked at the Irish 1911 census which is free to all on-line but could not find K/E with father Thomas! Yes I think you are right with the naming of children because K/E daughter named Kathleen perhaps after the mother in-law Kate Kelly mother of Charles. By the way could not find Charles or his family on the Irish census.
I am gratful for your input, I come back to you after I'v checked the English census to see if there are anymore Wards in the Birmingham area.  I'm thinking if Ward are a big group as I was told then it is more than possible they would have spread around. It is trying to link people up, guess an element of luck is the desired option at the mo.  I like your little asides LOL
