Ancestral Family Tree DNA Testing / Re: Longest segments in dna
« on: Saturday 29 April 23 18:08 BST (UK)  »
Thanks for your reply Ruskie I do accept nothing is  exact but as l have a number of 1st cousins children popping up none have that amount of longest segments most are in the 60cM even my 1st cousins son who we match over 23 shared segments longest 74.9cM gives 623.5 cM 8.8%
The recent one is shared over 14 segments longest 124.9 gives 451.3cM 6.4%
I just thought figure may have been a typo mistake seemed large -
Perhaps on over thinking lol

In my other matches with 1st cousins children the figure is usually in the sixties.

Hi this is not a question as such just curious if other Rootchatters have encounter this.
So here goes l recently became aware my grandfather had another family well nothing new there l hear you say. My match comes up as 1st cousin once removed- 2nd cousin on Myheritage when in fact this person is 1st 1\2 . I'm thinking the computers can't pin point exact matches -
Ps how do  l  show this on my tree

I spent for what seemed like forever trying to trace Kathleen Ward and she didn't exist.
I do have to say good on Catherine representing her self in court  and pulling off a fine.
I couldn't have done that -  she was either confident or brave  K
