Yes I have already checked the 1881 and 1891 census over and over. I  just thought i fresh pair of eyes might help. Or any other help for that matter

I am now trying to find the Children of Thomas Sullivan and Ellen Rowan.
Ellen M Sullivan was born in Barbados in 1865. I think she is the daughter of the above.
On the 1871 census there is a Mary Ellen Sullivan listed in the Union Workhouse Clifton York aged 4 a pauper born Barbados. She is in the same workhouse as Ellen Sullivan aged 41 and Jane Sullivan aged 9 months but they are not listed together.
I would like to find Ellen Sullivan born in Barbados on the 1881-1891 census and Jane on the 1881 census.
In 1891 Jane is now Jane English married to George English living in Thornaby
Any help would be appreciated.

I have received Julia's birth certificate. She was born 11 May 1868 Barracks Horfield, father Thomas Sullivan Private the 3rd Buffs mother Helen Rohan.
Does anyone know anything about the 3rd buffs maybe where else they where stationed or how i can find Thomas Sullivans records.
I also need to find there other daughter Margaret's death. She did not die in York as i had thought.
he is with her mother in 1861 on the census in York but not after that.

I now know that Julia was born in 1868 Ship unit 3rd buffs in Bristol (regimental birth)
I have also been checking the dates and there seems a long gap between Thomas and Ellen having children, after Margaret died in 1862 it is 6 years until Julia is born.
i have checked overseas births and there are two births one is a Thomas Sullivan 1864 same ship unit Gibralter the other a Ellen Sullivan 1865 Barbados.
Do i have to apply to the GRO for the certificates or can i find the information on line.

I think i have found Julias birth in 1868 Bristol, ship unit 3rd buffs (regimental Birth) but i could not find anything about Ellen Sullivan of Hope Street.
Maybe i was looking at the wrong thing

I have the death certificate for Julia she died 12 April 1869 in Hope Street york. She was 10months old. it says daughter of Thomas Sullivan Private soldier 3rd buffs. Ellen was the informant.
I am trying to find a birth for Julia but not sure where they are in 1868-1869

Thanks I did notice that in 1901.
I also have a death certificate for Ellen Sullivan on the 24th January 1910 died in the union workhouse York aged 71 but no more information on it.
