Hi, yes that's happened in my own family, but try as I can, cannot find any death reference to the first David, which I presume hopefully is recorded in some Parish register.

Looking for similar researching above names. My researches have Crambie and Crombie  running through the family, as I have a 6th Gt Grandparent Alexander Crambie born @1735 in fife, married to Margaret ??Legate., and one of their children, Alexander is 5th Gt Grandparent - His Daughter Elizabeth married a David Irons.  Elizabeth's Brother David Crambie/Crombie married Emilia Finlay and their Daughter Jean, named as Crombie,  married an Alexander Harley - I am interested also in this family connection, as am in contact with a descendant of this marriage, and also by accident I came across a guest book entry in a disused Fife family history site, and a person RG was interested in making contact or finding out more about her Harley connection, however I do not have any contact details so am wondering if this person is a subscriber on here to enable contact.
I have one unsolved puzzle in my Crambie/Crombie family, Alexander, my 5th Grandparent have found one son David Crombie born 1791, no death or other details found and another son also named David born 1805,  but surname Crambie who married Emilia Finlay. other searchers have also found this puzzle, but unable to establish why 2 sons of same name, I presume earlier David died at young age but no trace.

the dates for my Father in law are correct, but not the birth you have noted in 1920. Janet  Miller Charlton nee Hutchison is the sister of Margaret Hutchison, was married to Carr who died and then to Henry Harper,  so the Foster Burden Charlton my F in Law was named after was the son of Janet and Foster, making him cousin and this is the person we have been told died early and the name was handed on at my Father in law's birth - am thinking this birth was between 1900 and 1902.

looking for descendants of Foster Burden Charlton and Janet Miller Hutchison, married 1896 in Newcastle, had children Margaret McGregor Charlton, Alexander Hutchison Charlton, George Charlton and Betsy Hendry Charlton (married J W Lambton in 1935). My father in law was named Forster Burden Charlton Harper, we think after a son, who died at an early age,  of his Aunt Janet Miller Charlton, nee Hutchison.

Norma/Henry, finally got to the central library today alas too late to get onto one of the computers (all had been booked) but looked at Microfiche and1 book , so little info on these 3
St. Andrews RC Church, Newcastle upon tyne record of baptisms up to 1840
James Walls, born 20 June 1830, christened 11 July and Godparents James McKonnell and Mary Atkinson.....parents Francis and Catherine Conley.
John McKenna, born 01 October 1830. CH. 25 Oct, Godparents James McQuillan and Mary Murray
parents Patrick McKenna and Rose Walls..baptism record gives him as Patrick, not Peter
Lawrence Walls, born 22 Mar 1832, Ch 02 April, Godparents William and Ann McKenna.
I could not find any record of Ann Walls, Ch 22 May 1843, not William Walls Ch 30th Aug 1846 in any book in the library nor on microfiche, and niether could one of the library assistants find any record online with her computer???.......Looks like further investigation online at the library another day, I can get 2 free hours with a few genealogy websites, presume the name is Walls and were they all RC...and will try and find address/employment etc nest down on these parents. Hi Wattnb/Bluebike!

Sorry I have not been down to our City library as yet, had a hacking cough/sore throat for nigh on 3 weeks, just getting over it, but did not want to spread germs around. Hoping I'll get down sometime next week to look at the records....and I had a BT line out for 3 days with no internet, first time I've been looking at these sites though for quite a while.Hope you are all well

Hi, Bluebike1 and I are cousins, so his Walls/Wells are mine. I'll take this info with me to our Central library and see what I can find.
