Buckinghamshire / Re: Geary family at Astwood
« on: Sunday 23 October 05 22:18 BST (UK)  »
The above postings should give you lots to follow up on Samuels background.

The families in Astwood /Hardmead  and NewportPagnell/Tongwell are headed by brothers,
        James age 48  & William age 42
Both sons of Ralph and Jemima(Roberts)
                              married 6 October 1789 Hardmead.
Your Samuel is James son. The IGI has details of other children and various marriages so that should help go back passed 1789 to find Ralph and Jemima details.

Ihave been trying to get to check some of Bucks P.Rs but I have a small 2 year old and now 5 year old in tow (HALF TERM)!!
If you do not have any luck let me know and I will keep a note of the details.

Hi and welcome to roots chat (should have said that a couple of postings ago)...

Not sure how much you already know about the family but a lot of names can be found on tha LDS website family search that hosts the IGI.

Found from it Hannah age 63 was the second wife of Ralph Geary ,his fisrt wife was Jemima so you now have step family joining the tree with half brothers and sisters.
Please let us know if you want to find out more

Bedfordshire / Re: A Burnell headstone in Dunstable?
« on: Thursday 20 October 05 21:58 BST (UK)  »
Hi Andrew,

Just a little info on Dustable. The church in Church Street is the Priory Church of St Peter. As George died in 1891 it is more likely that he would be buried in the cemetery in West Street .This was opened in 1861 and will be full by about 2007 so it is a pretty big site. (Lots of leg work)!!
Google Dunstable or contact the council offices in the town they may have records of plots to narrow the search.
Hope this may help you .

Got my first batch Yesterday.

Totally useless as we have all been in contact before -first contact was over 18 months ago-.
Great for more wide spread names but open to many hits that are of no use.All my Liscoe names on the site know of each other and we are all related .I cant wait to see what it throws up for my Green family.
